Falcons owner Shocked by Witness Statements - Expects Plea Deal tonight

Falsons Owner Arthur Blank was shocked by the statements made by co-defendants in the Michael Vick Dog Fighting case. The written summary statements released earlier today details the multiple transactions involving dog purchases, transportation and fight/gambling events that allegedly took place in multiple states from 2001 to just before the property was stormed by law enforcers.
Blank indicated that he felt that Vick had lied to him and the NFL and that the new statements contradicted Vick’s pervious assertions of non-involvement, ignorance and innocence.
He also indicated on ESPN earlier today that he thought Vick would enter into a plea agreement today.
Many people believe (and many details have been released unofficially) that Michael Vick and his lawyers are attempting to negotiate a plea deal that would only send Vick to Prison for less than a year. Plus, the charges would not include gambling and racketeering, which could allow Vick to return to the NFL . . . someday.

I am horrified by the details of dogfighting - dogs tortured, beaten, starved, maimed, electrocuted, drowned, etc. People involved in this crime have serious, intense psychological problems, and need to be helped immediately so that they may not kill again. I am glad to know that Michael Vick’s crimes are being taken seriously by the public - there is no excuse for animal cruelty.
People around the world will be celebrating and honoring animals on World Animal Day, October 4, 2007. For more information, or, if you would like to post a prayer for animals born into the cruel and inhumane world of dogfighting, please visit our site.
Thank-you!
