President Bush might be one of the few people in the country that actually has benefited from the Michael Vick scandal.  If it had not been for the Michael Vick controversy, President Bush would have been the target of even more bad press and outrage back when the surge was not going so well and when Alberto Gonzalez could still not find his memory.

Now, I’m not trying to suggest that Michael Vick tortured and killed dogs in order to help the President’s approval rating.  In fact I would agree with the sentiment that Michael Vick and President Bush are cut from the same mold in many ways.  However, as much as I dislike President Bush I suspect that he takes his dog responsibilities a little more seriously than Michael Vick did.

He may be a screwed up President, but I do not think that Bush tortures dogs, he seems to save that for prisoners of war, terror suspects and people randomly picked up off the street.  President Bush in a weird inverse way probably is more prone to cute boxer images and less likely to torture animals than people . . . as long as those animals do not start threatening the United States or present themselves as an opportunity for political gain.

Its a small world filled with strange people.  The trifecta that was the customer base of disgraced quarter back Michael Vick(the dog fighting guy), disgraced Senator Larry Craig (the footsie guy) and actor Wesley Snipes(The vampire killer that forgot to pay his taxes several years in a row guy) used to share the same attorney.

Wesley Snipes pulled out his blade and severed that relationship, so that just leaves Larry Craig and Michael Vick to fight like dogs for the preferred restroom stall in the Attorney Billy Martin’s law firm men’s restroom.  Snipes through a new attorney claimed that Martin was ignoring his case, while he spent too much time with Craig and Vick this summer.

Any bets on how long it takes Vick to fire Billy Martin next? 

I give him until January.  (note the bet reference is just a figure of speech.)

Apparently Vick is not only selling his Georgia diggs where bankruptcy is no cakewalk, but he is also preparing a high priced penthouse in Miami, possibly for the days in the future when he might want to file bankruptcy in a state where the process is a cakewalk.
