Im "Roy Bud Thomas Melton"sister i am in no way
saying what was going on was right. In the early
days when Mickeal Vick was ask about all of this
he went on National TV and lied to the NFL to his
coach to his fans an the FBI an the rest of the
world. He stuck to his story until he knew for sure
that the FBI knew more on him than he thought. My thing is that there was a Murder on top of the
dog fighting an we all know that the world of dog
fighting is a close net organized thing.I am not
saying that Mickeal Vick killed my brother. What i
am saying is that i dont think he would of ever
told the truth about what he did admit to if his
buddy's had not done what they done frist...I do
know that this is Very Personal to me because my
Brother happens to be the Murder Victom here!!!
With all of that being said i can only ask my self
what has not been brought to the surface???I truly
hope and pray that the missing link comes to the
surface real soon and that equal justice is done!!
Because there is nothing "EQUAL" or"JUSTICE" as it
stands about any of this from my point of view.
Sincerly,

I am happy to learn that you would persecute regardless of who it is. I will refer you to an article which appeared October 24, 2007 in the Hampton Road Daily Press. The article was entiled Man Pleads to Helping Vick Train Dogs. U.S. Atorney Mitchell Gill recommended that Allen spend no time in jail if he complied with agreement conditions because Allen coorporated with the investigation, and had no prior criminal record and had limited interaction with Bay New Kenel. Something is wrong. He sold Vick dogs. He trained Vick. He traveled with Vick. He had no prior offense. Vick has no prior offense. He is cooperating with the investigation. Vick in his plea agreement agreed to cooperate with the investigation. U.S. attorney McGill recommended that Allen receive no prison time while recommending that Vick be given 12 - 18 months prison time. It does not matter to me whether Allen is black or white, rich or poor. I do not know nor do I care to know. Allen is not a celebrety and Vick is. So what, both committed the crime. Both should do the time.

Once again McGill made his recommendation because Allen had no prison record. Vick had no prison record yet McGill recemmened that Vick receive 12 - 18 months prison time.

Allen agreed to plead to travel in interstate commerce to aid in illegal gambling and to participate in illegal dogfighting. Allen admitted that he sold a female pit bull named Jane in 2001 to Bad News Kennel in rural Surry County and traveled with Vick to Jane's fights. Jane is the pitbull he sold to Vick. Again McGill recommended that he receive no prison time while recommending that Vick serve 12 - 18 months prison time. Something is wrong. How can he justify to different sentences to two individuals who participated in the same activities. Allen actually admitted that he trained Vick. I waited for the uproar regarding Allen. There was none. It was as though the article never appeared. I actually wrote a blog where I related the accounts and asked the question, Why the differences in the two recommendations. Is it because one is a celebrity. His status should not matter. Alhough in American it does seem to matter.

Some often ask why the distrust regarding the justice system in America. Situations such as the one I just related cause some individuals to distrust the judicial system. Something is wrong. I noted that some would say the issue was about what Vick did, my reply would be the issue is dog fighting regardless of who engages in it. If one is punished for illegal gambling and traveling in inter state commerce then the other should also be charged.

Allen also admitted that he advised Vick and his co - defendants on managing and caring for pit bulls in the Surry County dog fighting operation and helping Vick and his associates pit their dogs against each other as well as determine which ones were good fighters, according to court documents filed in the US attorney General's office, but once again McGill recommended that Allen receive no prison time while recommending that Vick receive 12 - 18 months prison time.

I waited to see if PETA and others would comment on and seek the prosecution of Allen after all both engaged in similar activities and Allen admitted trained and coaching Vick and his co-defendents. I have yet to see an up roar. That is why I continue to ask the question is the uproar about dogfighting or is the uproar about Vick. The up roar should be about dogfighthing regardless of who engages in it.

I hope that you will investigate the matter. Information may be found in the US attorney General's office and newspaper articles. Some call me a bleeding heart liberal. I reply, our justice system is what it is because of bleeding heart liberals like me. Justice should be the same for all regardless of skin color, money or public status. Please investingate the matter. Please don't allow this to end with Vick. If this ends with Vick, it will merely satisfy those who say it is all a vendatta against Vick. I believe that there are those who really care about dogfighting and want to elimiate it regardless of who engages in it, while I also believe that it is merely a ruse that will allow some to vent their resentment, etc. regarding Vick. I am not a Vick appologist. I am merely someone who wants equal justice for all if there is such a thing.

Wouldn't matter to me, as I mentioned in a separate comment to a similar comment that you provided, Hypocrites.

I do not want to bring Michael Vick to his knees. I do not want to see him play in the NFL again. That is the last step in our mission to achieve. The NFL like Nike is a corporation and they have an image to uphold. Supporting and sponsoring people with multi-million dollar contracts that kill and torture animals on a Saturday and then try to be a hero for little kids on Sunday and Monday is a farce and depending on your religion probably evil.

I'm not saying that Vick is evil, I do suspect that he has some very serious mental issues. I also suspect that maybe he should spend sometime in a mental facility where he might get some of the help and treatment that he might really need. This might actually be better for him than going to prison.

However, if he were to do that, he'd probably lose control over the remainder of his fortune. His wife or family would seize control and they would bring him to his knees in ways that this website could never accomplish nor would we want to.

So for that reason Vick and his attorneys will probably skip the care that he really needs so that they can protect the millions (and the lawyer's paychecks).

Michael Vick is being slaughtered. He will recover. I ask would the punitive reaction and slaughter be the same if it were Eli Manning, Peyton Manning or Tony Romo. It is as though some are taking delight in persecuting Vick. They say "let's bring this man to his knees". Once again I ask would the reaction and be the same if it were Eli Manning, Peyten Manning orTony Romo. If I ask the queston I an sure others are are asking the question.
