Michael Vick is free (officially) now. What does that mean for you?
It is pretty obvious where we stand on the concept of Michael Vick going back into the NFL. We are completely against it and have been since day 1. He served his time paying his debt to society, but like a cop that commits a crime or a laywer or even a CPA, we don’t think Michael Vick should get his old job back nor a job like it in the same profession. We are not going to dog him, threaten him, or even wish him any ill or problem. More power to him actually if he rebuilds his life and becomes a model citizen, but just not in the NFL.
That’s what we think, What do you think about Michael Vick playing in the NFL? More importantly what are you prepared to do about it? If Michael Vick gets picked up by a team in your area, will you boycott games? Will you boycott the team’s game on TV? Will you protest? If he is allowed to play in the NFL, will you boycott everything from the entire league including the superbowl

I will boycott any team or league which puts that souless killer on the field. Also, I will boycott any sponsor of anyone who plays him. I realize he will be an irristible draw–like a deadly wreck on the highway. It makes me ill to think he could just waltz back into fame and fortune again.
I heard a nasty rumor that the Dolphins were looking at him. I will most definitely boycott any team that takes him on, even if its my own. I just couldn’t stand anyone cheering for that bastard. He just makes me sick. I am dead serious, I will not go to or look at another game if the NFL hires him back.
I keep hearing Orlando and Washington are ready for Michael Vick, and Tennessee as well.
There’s a big difference in tone on the news today as opposed to just yesterday as well.
I’m starting to think it Michael Vick will definitely return to the NFL. That’s fine, I will definitely wash my hands of the NFL if that happens. People keep saying things like, but there are people in the NFL that killed people, not just dogs.
My answer is that the NFL is already screwed up enough. Letting Vick come back is basically just the line in the sand. Too many flagrant problems already, this is just one of the most definitive examples of how screwed up things have become.
Vick is not necessarily worse than other people, his crimes were not necessarily worse either, but as a fan that doesn’t mean that I’m going to support and organization that keeps spiraling to new lows either.
The NFL may need an intervention and Michael Vick might just trigger that. If he doesn’t I suspect it will happen eventually.
YES! Michael Vick he deserves a second chance. What he did was wrong, suspense him, take some of his money and send him to jail, but not give him a second chance is not the American way. Think about it? When President Clinton was in office as a major leader for the USA and nations, he committed adultery/fornication with another woman in the white house, along with other governors and other leaders of this country that didn’t set the example. As leaders of the USA we all need to set the example. What happen to the standards, values, morals – the Christian way of doing things according to Holy Bible, our country is founded on Christian values which shape our country to begin with, so all leaders in the USA need to start setting the example for our young people to follow. Before you point your finger at someone please judge yourself, we ALL make mistakes, especially people who are in the spot light. Our Heavenly Father is a forgiving God, when we make mistakes we confess our sin and repent in Jesus name, our God is faithful to forgive us no matter what we have done in life. Michael Vick pay his debt to society, so now it’s time for him to start making the right choices in life-press forward and start playing some pro football again!
If a pastor/priest/nun/deacon etc molested a child during vacation bible school, was convicted, went to jail served their time and got out, would you allow them to resume work in their previous position and work with kids again?
I would not.
From my perspective, this is not about second chances, this is not about forgiveness. I forgive Vick, I think he has his second chance already, but allowing him to play in the NFL again where he can continue to influence children (not to mention a lot of other things) is unwise.

I am absolutely heartbroken that my football fan days are over. At least with the NFL. Goodell has made his decision to allow the creep back in the league so I will no longer attend. I just put my season tickets on craigslist. The days of watching heros and athletes of character are over.Go Gators!!

Hey Martell he confessed to killing the dogs. There are witnesses who saw him do it. It wasn’t just something he threw money at and didn’t know what was going on. He deserves to die begging for food in the streets so he knows first hand what a lack of compassion feels like. Then we could all line up and spit on his grave. He had it made and was too stupid and greedy to take advantage of it. Most people would kill for the opportunity he had. He threw it away, why should anyone feel sorry for him?
Martell read his plea agreement on your site. Didn’t see any language showing it to be a best intrest plea. They both said he was pleading guilty because the charges could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. I worked for the court system for 12 years a best intrest plea can be worded as such or the judge can allow him to plead nolle contendre whichh means you accept the punishment without admitting or denying the crime. If he is so innocent why didn’t he take one of those options. What his lawyers couldn’t get him out of charges where the proof they had was just someone else’s word? If you beleive that maybe you should rewatch the O.J. trial

I don’t feel he shouldn’t be given a second chance in football because of his cruelty toward animals. Rejection should occur when you are the highest paid man in pro football at the time, and you don’t have the morals or decency to demonstrate sound mind and judgment. This was not just a wrongful act perpetrated on defenseless animals, this was a demonstration of ignorance and total disregard for all values in life including life itself, and if the fans don’t recognize that our justice system can no longer have two tiers, that we should not condone such lifestyles and behavior by means of loyalty to their team and the teams that make up the structure for the greatest game in the world, then perhaps the owners should. In the last decade ¼ of the NFL has been brought up on charges and instead of paying for the acts they paid $ for their acts, knowing one thing, easy come easy go. We the working class people in the end pay these ludicrous salaries in the form of loyalties to the players and the game I think it’s time they pay something back in the form of decent and acceptable behavior is that really to much to ask.
