NFL & Goodell Could Let Vick Back into the NFL Week After Prison Release
According to ESPN sources close to Roger Goodell, Michael Vick will likely be let back into the NFL on a conditional basis just a week after he was released from Federal Custody.
We Think Letting Michael Vick into the NFL is a BIG Mistake
The NFL has been complicit in the Michael Vick saga for some time, but the NFL had the option to stop supporting Michael Vick years ago. Instead the NFL hedged its bets, hoping that Michael Vick was telling the truth, hoping that Michael Vick was not really guilty, hoping that all the money they spent on Michael Vick was not a sunk cost, hoping that pissed off fans around the country would forget what Vick did, hoping that football fans around the United States would forget how Michael Vick screwed us all over by spending all of our fan money on illegal gambling on dog fights, killing dogs, hoping that football fans wouldn’t notice that one of Michael Vick’s partners and a witness in the case was murdered just a few days after Vick’s home was raided.
Most NFL fans are willing to forgive Michael Vick and give him a second chance to restart his life, but that DOES NOT INCLUDE A SECOND CHANCE IN THE NFL.
Many people even mention that Michael Vick should only have to face up to god for what he has done now. Well, we fans have a responsibility too. If a teacher or a preacher molests a child in their care, we might forgive them (or we might not) after they have served their time in prison, but ONLY A MORON WOULD LET THEM RESUME THEIR FORMER JOB AND WORK WITH KIDS. That’s the same thing with Michael Vick.
Michael Vick was unable to handle the fame and fortune and pressue of the NFL off the field and we have seen the result. Michael Vick was positioned by himself and the NFL as a hero to kids, someone to look up to, and Michael Vick accepted that position to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars in endorsement deals and at the SAME EXACT TIME he went out into the back yard and started torturing dog fights in dog fighting rings and consorting and enabling many other criminals in similar ventures.
Letting Michael Vick back into the NFL just isn’t smart, its not safe for society, and only a moron would allow him the opportunity to do it all over again. Roger Goodell, Are you that moron or are you a leader?
We will see soon, and the NFL will be changed for it one way or another whether its the choice to support this kind of garbage or whether its the boycott, exodus, and protest of existing NFL fans.

Vick should be banned from the NFL for life. What he did was disgusting and a crime against society. He is not sorry for what he has done, he is sorry he was caught. He is a liar, a cheater, an animal abuser and quite possibly a murderer. The NFL welcoming him back will be a message to society that sports is more important than morality. Yes, people should always be given a second chance; however, I do not believe that he has any remorse for what he has done. His attitude is “oh, well – I need to grow up”. What message does this send to our youth? And yes, for as much as I care about football – I would definately boycott any team that hires this man.
First of all I am an animal advocate and in no way shape or form agree or support the actions of Michael Vick. But lets be real for a moment…are you all willing to tell me that you have never done anything remotely wrong and not been punished as much as you should have been? And don’t worry about Kids seeing Michael Vick as a role model. Children are allot smarter than we give them credit. Bad people have a habit of putting themselves in bad positions over and over again. If Michael Vick really is the Vile person that you claim this will not be his last bout with the Law. Things played out in front of everyone can be instructional…you can just as easily talk to your children about how a person that does things wrong doesn’t always get the punishment they deserve. You can let children know that sometimes bad people are in positions of Authority (Congress, CEO’s of corporations, Ministers, Police Officers). Its your choice and responsibility how your children see this issue…or you can just be absent and let the media/world tell them how it is. There are so many more worthwhile fights against groups/individuals that arent in the spotlight. The Spotlight will be sure to let everyone know what Michael Vick is doing and may be the best place for him. It’s the shadows that I worry about.
The man has did his time for the crime he committed. Have you ever did anything wrong? Let’s get over this and focus on more important things. Thousands of people fight dogs. Unfortunately for Vick he just got caught.

It’s too bad that we don’t have a system in this country for punishing people who do terrible things against others or against lower life forms. Maybe we should design a way to punish people that would include locking them up for a specific period of time, depending upon the severity of the charge.
Maybe they would lose their source of income during that time and have their sordid acts talked about all over the media.
And then, when they get out, we should systematically destroy their chances of ever being able to rehabilitate by boycotting the people they will work for.

Tim, the fan money that Vick used to engage in illegal activities including killing dogs for fun is the thing that is similar to putting a molester near a child. Vick took our fan money and did extremely corrupt things the way some teachers and priests take our children and do even worse things.
Michael Vick should not be put back into a position where OUR fan money provided to him via sponsors, the NFL and the Eagles(now) can be used to do corrupt things. Furthermore, Vick should not be in a position where school kids will look up to him because he is suddenly wealthy (again) and gets too much TV time for doing next to nothing that actually helps society in any form or fashion.
This person did not make a “mistake” What he did was personal…. cold, calculated,planned, brutal activities. A second chance is fine if he gets a regular job, like cleaning shelter kennels…for the NFL and greedy Eagles to allow him a second chance of this magnitude is appalling to say the least. Not to mention that he probably used the same money that he will be earning to finance his past horrible activities…again. GOOD-BYE EAGLES. 2nd chance my eye….all you see are hopes of numbers in the win column.

Its so low to utilize energy to attack Michael Vick when governmental officials like the Bush regime is taking innocent lives away in an unnecessary war. The price Vick paid is warranted. First, I am a dog owner, always have been and always will. Out of all the politicians, Athletes, teachers etc etc who have done wrong, Michael Vick has paid more of a price for his poor decisions than anyone that I can think of.
Kobe Bryant rapes a girl and pays her of but thats ok…Little kills someone drunk driving but thats ok…he is playing football with no jail time no suspension. Stallworth kills a man drunk driving gets 23 days in jail and a one year suspension. I can go on and on. However, Michael Vick who has no doubt done a horrible thing….serves two years in prison, loses 60 million plus in salary and endorsements, suspended for two years, paid his debt and what…thats not enough?
I may be wrong but I believe Michael Vick has served the longest prison sentence for any crimes against animals. That should count for something…what more do you want? Blood, his life…come on people.

If you review our mission, you will find that we are in deed working to have other violent felons removed from the NFL (for now and other sports as we look at ways to effectively expand).
This site and our mission have grown. We selectively started with a small goal and a small priority (we work in many other causes through other sites that relate to those causes). Through our success and the feedback of the community around this site we are growing our cause, our parameters and improving as we proceed.

I agree that what Vick did was horrendous, but by being in the NFL he can raise awarness AGAINST dog fighting that he would not be able to do working at burger king. The media is watching everything this man does, if he J Walks it will be huge news so he has no chance to regress back to any previous behavior.
