Only 6 NFL Teams Have Not Joined the Anti-Michael Vick Boycott

If you are following the Anti-Michael Vick list on NBC, you may be happy to note that despite soon to be former NFL Chairman Roger Goodell’s decision to reinstate Michael Vick into the NFL all but 6 NFL teams have mostly decided not to pick up Michael Vick (so far).  Before we go throwing kudos around to the teams that stood up and said no to Vick, it should be noted that due to Roger Goodell’s poor decision, they are all pretty much free to change their minds and pick up Vick should their current Quarterback plans run into trouble.

By our count, The 6 teams that have showed nothing remotely close to bravery or leadership on this issue are and might therefore be considering picking up Michael Vick are:

So in addition if you want to protest some actual teams in addition to the NFL and Roger Goodell, these are the teams that just don’t seem to get it.

Per NBC Sports here’s the list of teams that will not pick them up, Note the Atlanta Falcons are actually assumed and might belong in the cowardly list above . . .?
    • Atlanta Falcons. (We know it kind of goes without saying.)
    • Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (The Bucs have been silent since Vick was reinstated; they previously have said they aren’t interested.)
    • Detroit Lions. (Pre-reinstatement.)
    • New York Jets. (Pre-reinstatement and last week.)
    • New York Giants. (Recently.)
    • San Francisco 49ers. (Pre-reinstatement and post-reinstatement.)
    • St. Louis Rams. (Pre-reinstatement, and possibly post-reinstatement.)
    • Dallas Cowboys. (Pre-reinstatement and recently.)
    • Washington Redskins. (Pre-reinstatement and recently.)
    • Houston Texans. (Pre-reinstatement.)
    • Indianapolis Colts. (Pre-reinstatement.)
    • Seattle Seahawks. (Pre-reinstatement.)
    • Buffalo Bills. (Post-reinstatement.)
    • Cincinnati Bengals. (Post-reinstatement.)
    • Miami Dolphins. (Post-reinstatement.)
    • Kansas City Chiefs. (Pre-reinstatement and post-reinstatement.)
    • Philadelphia Eagles. (Post-reinstatement.)
    • Jacksonville Jaguars. (Post-reinstatement.)
    • Minnesota Vikings. (Post-reinstatement.)
    • Chicago Bears. (Post-reinstatement.)
    • Tennessee Titans. (Post-reinstatement.)
    • Oakland Raiders. (Post-reinstatement.)
    • New England Patriots. (Post-reinstatement.)

Lunatics like you, who care more about animals than you do a human being, should be ashamed of yourselves and be “put away”. Michael Vick paid his debt to society. Denying him the right to use his talent and earn a living for himself after PAYING HIS DEBT, is simply ridiculous. Use your time WISELY by volunteering to help the homeless/hungry/poor/needy people of this country. Stop being a pain in rear. You probably wouldn’t be so concerned about Michael Vick had he done something like murder or rape someone. It’s good to be concerned about the treatment of animals. They are one of God’s creatures. But give me a break. Invest MORE in people and take your face out an animal’s behind. You people are completely sickening.

    • Lisa:

Forget you Tonya! Then he needs to utilize another talent. Your post was bullsh*t, so just shut up! I am concerned more about the well being of animals than I am a damn football game, team, or player!

    • “Invest MORE in people and take your face out an animal’s behind. You people are completely sickening.”
      …….

Stop it. I can’t type and laugh at the same time. Rather providing innane posts, your time would be better spent studying English as a second language :)

      You’re pathetic!

    • JJ:

Research shows a link and correlation between violence/abuse against animals and violence/abuse against people. I do not know of anyone who has been in prison and gets to just jump back in where they left off (oh of course if you exclude actors and athletes) – It needs to stop.
The “lunatics” you speak of are people who care about the welfare of animals who have no voice (- where the cruelty begins -) and they fight against it and people who do it in order to protect “you people” and me from them. Well said DogLover332 – He has every right to make a living – he does not have the automatic right to be a football star…

    • sherrie:

Tonya: Identify the gap in your own thinking here: You ASSUME someone you don’t know does not also advocate intensely on behalf of human violence perps? why would you make that assumption? And no, that sick sadist has NOT paid any debt; his innocent victims are dead or maimed, all painfully tortured. Make no mistake, sadists like this choose animals b/c unlike people, they can’t talk. Don’t worry, folks; What goes around comes around~

      • Alfreda:

Animal abusers are usually human abusers too, especially children, they don’t much care for anything but themselves

    • Anna:

Ban Michael Vick from the NFL. Sure, felons can get jobs…let him go work at Wal-Mart or stock grocery store shelves. We shouldn’t reward bad behavior by throwing millions of dollars in his direction. This is equivilent to letting Bernie Madoff out of prison and allowing him to resume a career as a banker/investor. This is a sad day in the NFL, for the league to have sunk to a new low in putting felons at the head of the line to be role models for young people.
Michael Vick sucks anyways. He was never the super star quarterback that everybody wanted/thought he was/would be. Maybe Philly fans will build a doghouse on the sidelines for Mike Vick to sit in.

    • Judge and Jury:

Vick played God by taking the life of dogs, they are as you stated GOD’s creatures. What makes Vick think he can take life, only the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. It’s not Vick giveth and Vick taketh away

    • Joe Poli:

Tonya, get off of it; what have you done for the poor, homeless, etc. lately? Why don’t you move a few homeless people into your apartment? Vick is a sick dick and will fail because his basic personality was established when he was a kid. He will never change. He never once apologized; all he said was he was sorry for his “mistake”.

I don’t care if the Eagles win the Superbowl. Let Vick go to Canada, they seem to like ex felons in their league.

    • Eddie:

      touche Tonya :)

    • Janelle:

What I think a lot of you forget to realise is that part of Vick’s sentancing was that he ISNT ALLOWED TO PLAY FOOTBALL. Ever. Again. Professionally. So this is sort of like a Manson Killer getting parol or being let out of prison after being sentanced to life in prison.

That doesnt mean he cant get a job. Tossing fries perhaps.

    • Kristine:

      Tonya,
The NFL is about pride and honor. My kids look up to these pro-football players (as well as I do) and I don’t think the NFL is living up to their duty. I have lost a lot of respect for them by allowing Michael Vick to play. I feel very strongly about this and for you to say I should be ashamed of myself, well, I think the real issue lies within you. He spend 2 years in prison and is out free while the animals involved with his case are either tramitized for life or dead. How has he paid debt, as you say?

  • Tonya, you fail to see the power of Michael Vick’s influence. We can and do volunteer our time helping others, a lot more I’d wager than Michael Vick ever did.

But when a person is elevated to the status that Michael Vick was elevated by his sponsors and the NFL with hundreds of millions of marketing dollars behind him, and he serves to provide the example that He is cool and kills dogs for sport, 2 years in prison doesn’t simply wipe away the negative influence he has made on society (as evidence I hold you up as an example of a person that doesn’t yet get how much damage he has done and as such all the more reason why Michael Vick should not go back in the NFL).

If a person with no fame or celebrity status did what Michael Vick did, serving time in jail may pay his debt to society. But Vick did a lot more than that because his actions resonated throughout communities and fan bases around the country. He didn’t just kill and torture dogs for fun, he didn’t just throw money at an illegal gambling ring making it look like a cool episode on entourage, he didn’t just buy and fight dogs with coke dealers, HE did things like this in a way that let his fans see that this was part of the Michael Vick package, this was ‘cool’ this was what a successful person in sports ‘does’ when they get FU money.

To counter that message, Michael Vick has to stay out of the NFL, just like so many other felons are forced to stay out of other professions.

There is paying a debt to society for the crime and then there is doing something to mend the damage from that crime.

If a person kills or rapes someone as you mention, and they serve 10 years in prison and get out on good behavior, they may have ‘paid their debt to society’, but they sure as hell have not mended the damage of their crime.

Michael Vick sure as hell has not mended the damage of his crimes either, and frankly has a long way to go before he does.

Unlike a murder or a rape, I do think he has the potential to mend many of his crimes and possibly when his days come to an end, he may have actually left this world better than when he came into it, but right now . . . . I won’t be the judge, but I won’t be a victim by letting him back in the NFL again. :)

    • Another DogLover:

DogLover332 – Well stated! I could not have said it any better or more eloquently than you did.

  • Ruthie Thomas:

Michael Vick should not be allowed to play football forever. Tonya Harding was unable to ever compete or perform iceskating and she didn’t even do the actual crime, she was only aware of it. This disgusting man just did not only have a large dog fighting ring but he slowly tortured the dogs. He enjoyed it!

  • The Elector of Saxony:

    Tonya,

I realize that thinking probably hurts that unevolved melon of your, but do try. Michael Vick ran a criminal enterprise. He was the head of this crime family. He paid his debt to society, but he has no right to expect his employer to return him to his former job. He gets to live free as a result of serving his time, not be a football star. He can earn a living in any number of ways, but he no longer merits the privilege of stardom or a spot on an NFL roster.

    • doublea:

If he wants to makeup for what he did and pay his debt then donate the millions he will be making to various animal groups that save animals lives rather than take them. This low life gets paid millions because he can throw a football but probably can’t spell his own name, but yet local animal shelters, the humane society, etc. can’t get enough funding to buy supplies they need just to feed the animals. That goes for hungry and homeless people too, for those of you that keep bringing up what about the homeless, etc. I don’t see him doing anything for anyone before or after his jail time. He is a cold hearted, low life, useless excuse for a human being that deserves to be shoveling dog sh*#! for a living.

  • Rebecca:

I think there’s a Tonya on every Vick blog spewing nonsense. She is completely sickening.
Check out the new petition I’m circulating. No death threats this time, yet

Rebecca-Posted to you a short while ago- before realizing I could have just replied here!(chalk that up to exhaustion/up all night– but it was worth it, I was so glad to find the sackvick site- Best of its kind that Ive been able to find; between that & your petition, I have the sort of forum/guidance/sense of cohesive support i had not yet find as I tried to identify practical strategies for keeping that sick sadist from being rewarded, and also ways to keep this in public view;As Lisa H did, now I will pass that petition along…

    Vick Practices with High School.
I’m all for the pretending to rehab his image and glad he is trying to put his life back on track. Regardless, he is still a convicted felon and working with high school kids should not be an option this soon after his release. It was reported that the coach that invited Vick out to practice did coach him in high school. Not every coach is able to bring a former nfl player to practice, but a line should be drawn along the lines of, I don’t know, maybe inviting a felon. Hopefully some of the kids parents speak up about this.

Wow this is Strange people try to boycott Vick
But Pacman Jones Shoots a man gets a 2nd chance and no one cares
The police can shoot and kill a innocent Sean Bell no one cares
Vick kills a dog and PETA goes crazy
SMH look its the NFL who cares if you boycott
I’m a Vick fan haha been one since he was first playing with the falcons
and unlike some people I give 2nd chance
But on the bad side Vick probably won’t play this year so it doesn’t matter
    O well

  • D. Smith:

SO I guess we should ban L. Taylor (or take him out of the hall of fame for excessive drug use), Ray Lewis (who no matter what WAS involved in those murders), Donte Stallworth.. basically, anyone who has messed up and never give them a second chance. Let’s pull the skeletons out of your closet as well. Then, let’s ban you from everything you’ve screwed up or in such made a mistake. that sounds like a great idea.

  • will:

Stallworth made a mistake getting behind the wheel drunk. Pacman was involved but reportedly just told someone else to pull the trigger. Ray Lewis was never convicted. Stallworth and Pacman had a wild night out and screwed up. Vicks actions took place over the course of years. Easier to apologize for a bad night, hard to apologize for a few years of criminal activity that was so ruthless.

  • Rebecca:

No, it’s not strange at all.

  • The Elector of Saxony:

“Then, let’s ban you from everything you’ve screwed up or in such made a mistake.”

If I were arrested and convicted of a felony, my employer would (rightly) fire me, and never take a call from me again. I don’t have the right to get my job back after I serve my time. Neither does Michael Vick. In fact, every felon should be out of the NFL. Our kids don’t need to see “thug life” rewarded. Of course, if you want to continue the cycle of violence, drug abuse, rape, murder, and crime in your community, please DO support Vick’s return to the NFL. Maybe YOUR kids will grow up to do the killing, or even be lucky enough to be victims of great men like Michael Vick!

  • Rebecca:

I wish i could say what I liked to those who have drank the PR koolaid of Michael Vick. And this crap with Jesse Jackson just takes the cake. Vick has no out of jail CLEAN TIME. And WHO is keeping him accountable for staying away from animals?

  • showme:

The mission of this website will ultimately fail. Those who support it act out of malice and ill will. Did you start a website to protest the war in Iraq? 3,000 dead Americans and 2 million dead Iraqis doesn’t get your attention, but a man who never killed another human wants to play football and you just can’t take it. Focusing your efforts on making a man a pariah will certainly lead to your own misery. Resentment is the poison you drink hoping someone else will die. The more you persecute, the more poisoned you become. Meanwhile, Vick will be back in the NFL and you can’t do anything about it.

    • Alfreda:

Animal abusers are usually human abusers too, especially children, they don’t much care for anything but themselves

  • Dear Showme, Unfortunately you are working with incomplete information. I am a veteran of the first persian gulf war myself, and on other sites designed for that purpose, I do protest that war, the Americans, Iraqis and others killed there, and many other issues.

This site is focused on one issue, not the largest or greatest problem in the world, but definitely an endemic example of one of the problems that resulted in the abuses at Abu Grahib in Iraq.

People that failed to learn the lessons of sociology, history, group dynamics and any persons potential to take advantage or harm other when placed in the wrong situation, will always make the mistakes that Michael Vick made as well as Donald Rumsfeld, Generals below him, officers below them and soldiers on down the chain of command.

We are not focused on making Michael Vick a pariah, we’re focused on preventing the promotion and exploitation of a flawed individual as a hero. There are real heroes out there. Michael Vick is not such a person, and to enable him to regain his former hero status completely diminishes the real heroes that do exist.

WE DEFINITELY DO NOT WISH ANY PHYSICAL HARM ON MICHAEL VICK. WE DO NOT WANT HIM HURT, KILLED OR ANYTHING ELSE. We would very much like to see him live a long life, hopefully an improving life, and one that starts to give back to society some small fraction of all of the hundreds of millions of dollars that we in society gave him.

It is disheartening to see you give up and lose hope and accept the NFL’s position to allow Michael Vick back into the NFL. You should be able to expect more from the NFL, from its players and from our society. I hope that you find the ability to believe in the positive potential of people in the future, but I do understand you are not alone in your pessimism.

  • BENJAMIN:

To all the sick people who think the life of a golden lab with a gay bandanna is more important than a human life; DO YOU REALLY THINK THERE ARE ONLY 6 TEAMS INTERESTED IN VICK? LMMFAO! Man you cavemen are truly hilarious! No wonder GEICO hired you! Most animal nuts aren’t sports fans, and have never bought a jersey or season ticket in life! So [EDITED do the thing with your opinion that helped bring me into this world] ! Thankfully, thank merciful kali that there are more logical people in america than illogical. My house is in Atlanta on Piedmont park, and I have to say that on crisp, Fall, sunday afternoons, Piedmont park is packed with doglovers who are not inside watching football and screaming in joy or anguish at the performance of thier chosen team! Jogging about with all types of canines wearing a variety of silly attire from leather vests, to bandannas, to hats, to booties! That is where your money goes! The bullshyte they sell at petsmart across from the leashes! My money goes to direct tv for the nfl package, falcons tickets when THE REDSKINS ARE IN TOWN (GO SKINS!), and redskin paraphernalia! My opinion means way more than yours, and there are more of us, than there are of you. And even the silly caveman who puts his wife on a pedastal and is content to shut up and hold his remote (like most of you cavemen do) has enough balls to stand up to his wife/daughter and the shi-tzu or chihuahua that they love more than him. I hope…..

    • Benjamin despite your attempt to rant and rave and make little sense at all, you did actually introduce an important concept.

It is true that we can not believe that there were only six teams interested in Michael Vick when this article was written.

Odds are pretty damned good that some of those NFL teams that said they were not interested in Michael Vick, were lying. They were possibly lying because they want to bluff other teams, and they were possibly lying because they do not want hordes of protesters at their doorsteps tomorrow.

They might have even lied because they checked out this blog and realized that people had not forgotten and were still paying attention and were ready to do something if they signed Vick or even did the dumbest thing in public relations ever, signed Michael Vick.

Thanks for the hint of the insight! Forewarned is always a good thing. :)

      • BENJAMIN:

Heres a better one dog lover, because BENJAMIN brought it here first……….PHILIADELPHIA EAGLES SIGN VICK 2 A 2 YEAR MULTIMILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT, RIGHT NOW, LIVE AS I WATCH ARIZONA VS STEELERS PRESEASON! And, to make you look even more stupid, the Eagles werent even a team that was reported interested! I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW THE EAGLES WERE LOOKING AT HIM1 Did you fools really think that those nfl teams that said “we arent interested” were telling the truth? LMMFAO! The ONLY teams MAYBE not interested were teams with dominant, championship quarterbacks and no 2nd string quarterback controversy, and thats cause they GENUINELY DID NOT NEED HIM! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Pathetic and impotent, sackvick.net has FAILED. FAILED miserably! And he will play in the preseason in 2 weeks probably because he already back in football shape according to his agent and tony dungy! Remember Benjamin said it first! And doglover…..I’m 29 and own a large house on Piedmont park. One of the largest in fact. I own a few “recession proof” businesses. There are 3 things in this world I am well known for making a lot of. Sense, love and money, not necessarily in that order…….

        • Happy for your success Benjamin and hope to confirm your report. The thing that has really been absent recently is a nice place to hold a protest, but if you are correct, Philidelphia may have solved that problem.

For the record the list above came courtesy of NBC sports around August 2nd. I never made the claim that the news stands still. :)

You are wrong about our failure. Our efforts helped make sure that he was put behind bars in the first place, helped wake up his sponsors and the NFL in the early days and give him the boot. Those were battles that we did win from our original mission. Michael Vick may have won this battle, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t just fall into a check mate situation.

        • BENJAMIN:

and another thing……dont try to take this to the high and mighty arena. You are NOT trying to make Vick a pariah? B.S.! If you are a veteran of the First gulf beatdown, (it was revenge for 1987 when that iraqi jet hit that U.S. destroyer with 2 Exocet anti ship missles, an excuse to destroy the 2nd largest armored force on earth and steal oil) then you are old enough to have lived through ALL TYPES OF SPORTS FIASCOS. I bet you werent blogging for the guy ray lewis was involved in the murder of, or picketing for all the abused wives of professional athletes! you werent crying for pete rose’s head, nor are you outraged that he might be re-instated. So shut the f*ck up and stop trying to take the high road. I bet you are a republican……I’d bet this bottle of Remy xo special on it. Only a republican could pretend that they are making a big deal out of vick for anything other than race. Sorry, play that game with the non-existant “black friends” you bring up when called a racist. You all should have BEEN crying about the soft treatment of athletes and celebrities, but you pick and choose your battles, usually for financial or political gain. Now, only now after DOGFIGHTING of all things are you outraged? Tell that lie to your fox news watching, sarah palin supporting idiot friends, who use claims of religion and morality for their own amusement. Dont try to use Vick as the example of a society gone wrong, use the 1919 world series, or the steroids in “america’s pastime.” Here is a perfect example of your hypocrisy. Who is the pariah of the streoid era? BARRY BONDS! The ONLY person besides Roger Clemens who was a guaranteed first ballot hall of famer BEFORE HE EVEN TOOK A STEROID! 3 time mvp, 6 time allstar, 8 golden gloves,6 silver sluggers, before 1995! Barry bonds became the pariah because he dared put Hank Aarons hr record a little more out of reach of white folks. “How dare he use steriods”, “he’s ruined the game” “cheater”! What about Roger clemens? He lies to congress and no indictment. All the other players are lovely playing again, unless they have retired. Mark Mcgwire? Remember him? Nope! Who’s that? Barry bonds is a cheater because he was batting on steroids? What about the pitchers on steroids throwing the ball 4 mph faster? Ihe infielders and outfielders jumping higher and running faster? Please…..just stop. Oh and new news on vicks contract. 1.6 for the first year, and a 5.2 milion dollar option for next year……LMAO! i’m done with you and this site…..you lose.

          • Sorry to shake your world view again Benjamin, but I’m a democrat, I am against Pete Rose’s reinstatement and do remember why the scum bag was booted in the first place.

You can spout off all you like about irrelevancies in regards to racism and steroids, but you are far far from reality.

        • LAURIE:

          BENJAMIN,

You are a complete and total moron! Obviously. It’s all about the money and the winning with the teams, coaches, owners, etc…. The ONLY thing you may have been correct about is that the other teams (who, clamimed to be interested or not). The vast majority of the public will never truly know. However, it is DISGUSTING that after what he did to those animals, they still reinstated him. Great message to send to all of the other “pigs”! How would you like it if he did that to your mother, sister, daughter, girlfriend, wife, child etc.? Just because the victims were canine does not mean they did not physically feel everything he did to them. FOR MONEY! He is one of the sadest excuses for a “human being”, and that’s quite a stretch even to insinuate that he is human, to walk this sorry earth! Not to mention a so called NFL player. If you support him, you definitely don’t have much upstairs.

  • Sherrie:

JUST HEARD stupid phila. eagles = signing sick vick. I wish I could go be a presense there to protest this incredibly poor judgment/ example to the kids– But we can organize protests all over anyway–
People with a brain, appropriately disgusted by that much of a collective crapthink, thanks, & let’s keep it up- To the rest of you, go somewhere to somehow get a clue, hang out with others similarly unevolved.

    • BENJAMIN:

And sherrie, you have to be able to spell “presence” before you are allowed anywhere! get a clue and a dictionary cause that was no typo sweetie! Just like the outraged “town-hall protesters”, 95% of whom can’t name the 3 branches of govt, their functions, their congressman/woman, nor can they figure out that medicare and social security is GOVT SPONSORED HEALTH CARE! The same health care that the republicans fought tooth and nail way back when, but keeps grandma from having to eat cat food nowadays when no one cares about her well being. Without that “socialized” medicine, half the elderly would be making the choice between medicine and food, the other half would be dead. That is a FACT. Undeniable are the consequences that we would be suffering had we not had Medicaid, and Medicare, and social security to take care of the elderly. But you go and get a clue and hang out with your “enlightened” cadre of friends. I bet you could all go to sea in a barrel and survive……

      • Benjamin, you’re own spelling is less than stellar in the comments that you have provided. I’m not calling you a moron for not spelling every single word correctly, nor stating that you are reckless for not running spell check either. Please consider that many people including yourself write with passion and emotion on this topic and that makes them more likely to make a spelling mistake. Attacking people over a spelling mistake in a blog comment is just kind of silly, but as always, thanks for your comments. Each and every comment helps to further our cause!

  • annie:

HEY TONYA YOU ARE WRONG HE HAS NOT PAID HIS DEBT TOSOCIETY WHO WANTS HIM IN SOCIETY? THOSE ANIMALS PAID WITH THEIR LIVES YOU MORON YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ANIMAL LOVER OR ACTIVIST BUT FOR GOD’S SAKES DROWNING ELECTROCUTING SHOOTING FIGHTING THESE ANIMALS WHAT DECENT PERSON ENJOYS ABUSE OF ANY KIND? WHAT WILL HE DO FOR KICKS NEXT TIME PUSH OLD PEOPLE DOWN HILLS IN WHEELCHAIRS TO SEE WHO FALLS FIRST!!!!
HE IS A DISGRACE AND HIS PUNISHMENT WAS NOT STRICT ENOUGH i SAY IF HE LIKES DOG FIGHTING SO MUCH LETS PUT HIM IN A RING WITH A FEW PITS IF HE WINS HE CAN PLAY IN THE NFL IF NOT OH WELL YOU LOSE

  • benjamin:

doglover, you must be delusional if you don’t think there is a racial link between mike vick and barry bonds. You missed the point I made about showing up places to be vocal, ignorant of the topic. Do you think that it is just a co-inky-dink that these two black athletes, the stars of their sport at the time, just happen to be the only person INDICTED over steroids, and the person who has received the harshest sentence in the history of dog fighting being illegal? You really think that didn’t have to do with them being black? OF ALL THE FELONS IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS, THESE TWO ARE THE EXAMPLES? You really think the nfl has gotten over its “black quarterback problem?” Do you really think baseball is completely over Hank Aaron? You really think AMERICA has gotten over its fear and dislike of a black man in charge? ESPECIALLY A CONFIDENT BLACK MAN? Right. 18 mos in jail for DOGFIGHTING? Indicted over steroids? Again you wax eloquent when attempting to debuff some of my comments, but you have yet to respond to any fact or statement with anything other than meaningless drivel. I didnt ask if you were against Pete rose’s re-instatement, I asked if you blogged about it! Did you spend this much time blogging for all the battered spouses of professional athletes? Did you make a website demanding that Daunte stallworth be banned for life? No, you didnt. Because you care more about dogs, than you do people. Deep in your heart, you think that sports is a priveledge. If Vick was an attorney he would NOT get disbarred from practicing law for “dogfighting.” If he was a doctor, he would NOT lose his license over this. So you people need to get real. Maybe at your bean counting job, or at ups you get fired for catching a felony, but when you have training, and ability in a field worth billions, unless you do something bad related to your job, there is no lifetime ban. You people just want everyone who has a felony to live a second class existence out of some misguided sense of riteousness and morality; not realizing that these attitudes are the reason we have tons of unemployed REPEAT felons, unable to rejoin society with a meaningful job because they have an unrelated felony following them for life! Again, it is not a priviledge to make millions of dollars playing a sport unless EVERYONE CAN DO IT AND SOME ARE EXCLUDED. Can you run a 4.4 40 yard dash and throw the ball 60 yards accurately on the run? I sure can’t. Most of america cannot, so we pay someone to do it. Do you care if your doctor has a felony for spousal abuse if he is one of the best cancer specialists in america? Not when you or your wife finds a lump on your balls or her breast! Lemme tell you about yourselves. People like you, will always be the ones crying about something or another but with no power to do anything. Know why? Because you love dogs more than people. You spend your time worrying about dogs, and watching animal cops and shyte like that, instead of getting money. You really think that enough impotent outrage with no financial backing will change something? All you idiots are doing is putting money in the pocket of someone like me who can recognize a dollar when they see it. Selling you 20 dollar sack vick t-shirts that cost 3.50 to make, and hastily cobbled together dog toys bearing vick’s image. That person like me, is laughing all the way to the bank, with your money jingling in their pocket! Hilarious!

    • I do think there are serious racial problems in the NFL and in sports, but that has nothing to do with what Michael Vick did. In fact, Michael Vick sure as hell did not help improve the situation. Michael Vick made the situation worse.

Michael Vick had every opportunity to live the life of a role model, but instead he chose to act the thug. That’s not a pro black choice, its not an anti-black choice, its a choice that indicates that Michael Vick did not give a rats ass about anyone but himself.

Hey could have spent a lot of time, energy and money on improving things in sports and the NFL, but he did not. He was a loser then. I do have hopes that he might grow out of his loser ways and his loser past and maybe make something useful out of his life. His past does not predict his future, but that does not mean we have to enable that future either.

You can attack me all you like. I don’t really care. Attacking me does not make Michael Vick a better person, it doesn’t make you a better person, it doesn’t make it acceptable that there are violent ex-cons in the NFL. But if you want to attack me on what you call a loser blog, well, knock yourself out. Hopefully your all to magnificent house in Atlanta and your all to successful business keep you happy. More power to you, that’s all very nice.

In regards to the steroids debate, this site has nothing to do with steroids, one way or another, which is why I won’t debate you on that topic. In general, I tend to agree with you, and would take it several steps further, but my point is that using examples like that to defend Michael Vick completely misses the point that Michael Vick is case unto himself.

As to the t-shirts, proceeds will be donated to charity. This site has never made a profit and isn’t likely to ever make a profit. We do good to pay for our bandwidth on a good day.

So go ahead and laugh, go ahead and rant, go ahead and do what you got to do, that is the point of this site after all. :)

Have your say and be happy that we have provided the means to make yourself feel better, while the rest of us also work to make the world a better place. Keep thinking of Michael Vick as a victim if you like. Michael Vick was far far from being a victim. If you want to talk Victims, go look back through our articles and call the family of Bud Melton, who was a business partner of Michael Vick’s. Bud was murdered a few days after Vick’s mansion was raided.

You want to talk about victims, why don’t you dig in and look at what actually happened in this case, look at the witness testimony, look at Michael Vick’s confession.

Michael Vick victimized a lot of people, not just dogs. The dogs were the most obvious victims. This site has not just focused on the dogs, but the people too. Most of those people were black. Michael Vick not only made victims of dogs, he made victims of black people and your whining and moaning about racial injustice is pretty hypocritical when you defend Michael Vick who helped increase racial injustice far more than he ever worked to stop it.

Again doglover you miss the point. Yea vick could have done alot! But why should he. I have professional athlete friends. You know what they REALLY THINK WHEN SPORTSCENTER ISNT THERE? “F*UCK YOU! You fat lazy assholes! Raise your own damn kids! YOU PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE, WHY AM I YOUR KIDS ROLE MODEL?!” DIRECT QUOTE! You love sports, but are too fat, lazy, undisciplined and unathletic to play a pro sport. Why would Vick spend his money on anything but him and his family. They HATE DOING UNITED WAY B.S. (the vast majority of athletes). I went to to practice, lifted some weights, watched film, took notes, and now I’m tired and want to go home and pick my kid up from school, or go to sleep, just like a 9-5. Doing 2 a day practices in 100 degree heat is just like pulling an allnighter for an exam, EVERY DAY! What? Vick increased racial injustice? You sound dumb. What Vick eats does not make me shyte brother, remember that first, and he has NO BEARING ON THE BLACK COMMUNITY! THATS WHAT YOU BELIEVE. I went to college in Virginia, I know at least 300 people who went to Virginia tech. I met vick a FEW times. The guy is a dingbat, no question. I remember the day after he got drafted he was riding around newport news with all his buddies in new cars, showing off. The point, (which you seem to not get) is that WE ARE ONLY DEFENDING VICK BECAUSE YOU ARE MAKING A PARIAH OUT OF HIM. WHEN THE PENALTIES ARE NOT FAIR, WE WILL DEFEND OUR OWN. The problem occurs when you give a man with no record 2 years in prison for dogfighting. No one is upset cause vick went to jail! good, send him to jail. But for 2 years? And then to try and prevent him from making a living? hes a FOOTBALL PLAYER! WHAT ELSE IS HE GOING TO DO? AND HES NOW A FELON! You want him to wait tables? Guess what? You technically cant serve alcohol as a felon in a lot of states! Work at mcdonalds? At Safeway bagging groceries? Yea im sure that is a fair outcome. Work in corporate america? You people would boycott anyone who hired him. Be real. You people are so wack and think you have the right to judge everyone. You think being rich is a PRIVELEDGE? Its something you work for, DAILY, unless you are a paris hilton type. Then you don’t have to work that hard, and there are many pitfalls that are instantly eradicated. If everyone in america could do what vick does and he was taking an opportunity from someone else…FINE! Then its a priveledge. Being born extremely athletic IS NOT A PRIVELEDGE. and just to let you know…I’m a DIE HARD SKINS FAN….But I bought a Vick jersey off nflshop.com just for you all. It makes YOU FEEL BETTER to hate on vick with your fake outrage and lofty moral B.S., not me. Dont ever get that twisted like I’m the homo to start a website full of ad dollars and pretend its all for the love and the server bill…..especially to hate on someone! You may fool these other dingbats….but not I sir! Like I don’t have a website…….LMFAO! I haven’t even mentioned sack vick.net to anyone, i dont want you to have publicity if i can help it! And really, WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN IS ALL THE BLACK ATHLETES SHOULD TELL YOU TO SCREW OFF AND MAKE OUR OWN LEAGUES. WE ARE 97% OF PRO ATHLETES. There will be PLENTY OF SPORTS ON TV AND WE WONT BE AT THE WHIM OF MORONS.

  • Maurice:

You guys are morons all of you.

  • Maurice:

These people love dogs more then they do people, because they dont have any friends that are people.

    • Vick Hater:

Oh is that right? and just what then made YOU wander through here? People like you are sickening.

  • Dom D:

Anyone hating on Mike Vick is a [edit] idiot with no redeeming values as a person

  • Sammie:

Poor Vick. Cry me a river. He’s a waste of skin and a mediocre quarterback at best. Stick a fork in him.. he’s done. Byeee Mikeyyyyyyy…

  • Corporate Exec:

Boycott the sponsors of the Eagles. It’ll work. Oh, and be civilized. People will support your protest, if they like you.

  • I just have to say, I enjoy reading your site. Maybe you could let me know how I can bookmark it ? Also just thought I would tell you I found this site through Bing.

  • Matt:

You all need to stop hating on Mike Vick. Leave him alone. He did his time, now let him go on with his life and career. How would you like it if you did something wrong and people bugged you your whole life about it? Who are any of you to judge this man? His past is behind him, now stop persecuting him.

    • Vick Hater:

Hey Matt why do people like you even come to sites like this? Do you have nothing else to do but whine because Vick is getting exactly what he deserves from people who flat out hate him (like me)? I will judge him if I feel like it, too bad I can’t judge him as he judged the dogs he slaughtered. So how about you take a nice swig of stfu because I doubt anyone here is the least bit interested in hearing your ridiculous crying over Vick.

      • Matt:

Vick Hater, if you think that I have nothing to do, you should look at yourself and all these other people who have nothing to do except bother and complain about Vick and every move he makes. Seriously, people like you made this site. He went to jail for over a year(which was probably too harsh a sentance at all)and he finished his sentance. The dogfighting was years ago and ya it wasn’t right, but that was then. Again, I don’t know why you think you can judge him, or anyone for that matter. And I don’t care if any of you want to here me or not, its not going to stop me from writting. So why don’t you just stop bothering him? What is it going to do now? None of us can change the past, we can only affect the present. None of your, or anybody elses pestering can change that. So just leave Mike Vick alone, and stop being so pessimestic of him or anyone else.

        • True we can not change the past, but we do not have to relive the mistakes of the past either to turn a blind eye to the past would be completely foolish and irresponsible too. Prop up criminals all you like and make all the promises that you like that they will not become repeat offenders, but in Vick’s case he was a repeat offender longer than he was a pro football player, so come back to me in about 10 years if he has lived crime free, and then just maybe your statement will have some merit. Until then, statistically, it is more likely that Michael Vick will fall off the wagon and go back to his long life of crime. As I have mentioned many times before, I’d love to be proven wrong about Michael Vick on this projection, but we don’t have to live like fools and allow repeat offenders to take advantage of us over and over again, just because they served a little time in jail.

          • Matt:

I doubt that Vick would commit another felony, he obviously wouldn’t want to spend time in jail again, especially because that would impact his football career. He said he was sorry for dogfighting, I don’t think that he will do that stuff again. 18 months is a long time to be in jail. Mike Vick did his time. He won’t go back to that, he would realy, realy be in trouble then. I just don’t see it happening.

          • ROFLMAO yeah, I doubt he wants to spend more time in prison either, but then again I doubt he wanted to spend anytime there in the first place. Its not like he grew up in a vacuum or anything and never new anyone that went to jail or prison before. He did, and so he should have been well aware that he was not above the law himself the first time around, yet somehow that obvious lesson didn’t sink in or was out weighed by the attraction of running a criminal enterprise or empowering sycophants to help him run one.
