Vick’s First Practice on Eagles Field – Saturday August 15th

Tomorrow will be the first day that Michael Vick is scheduled to practice with the Philadelphia Eagles.  Many people were very surprised by the Eagles actions to sign Michael Vick for close to $7 million over two years.  That’s a lot to pay for damaged goods, especially when we are talking entertainment paid for with fan money.

Tickets may not go on sale tomorrow so tomorrow won’t be our first serious opportunity to protest the Eagles with our wallets, but it will be a good day to show sponsors that we mean business.  So if you show up to the area to protest, make sure you call out the sponsors that support the Eagles. Call on those sponsors to end their sponsorship of the Eagles and Michael Vick.

Please be considerate and do not threaten to harm any person including Michael Vick.

Please also be careful.  If you show up, come with a friend, someone that can help keep an eye out for you.

Future Dates To Look For Michael Vick Protests

August 26th is National Dog Day and is less than 2 weeks from today.  Please call on all sponsors to end their sponsorship before this day publicly.  If they do not end their sponsorship, then August 26th would make a fine day to protest at their locations around the country.

  • Gosh DogLover232 – they’re coming out of the woodwork, and you are your exceptional self! They just can’t hold a candle to you, poor little things.

I thought I’d pass this on since I’m a hater, uneducated, spoiled, hippie, nonhuman, no life, biggot, racist, never run my dogs (that is the funniest accusation of all) – what else have the folks who are passionatly against sadism called these days? LMFAO!! Unfortunately, the majority of the proVick posts are just tooooooooooooo repetitive and draining, so had to stop there :)

Anywho – here’s a petition that’s exceeded its target already.

    http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/eagles-fans-against-%20michael-vick

    • A PROUD DOG OWNER:

Whats funny is u actually think this is gonna work? HAHAHA! You can get all the petitions u want signed by a million people and guess what? > come sunday afternoon’s you will still see the #7 Philadelphia Eagles jersey run out on the field and better yet, Score a Touchdown! Whats done is done, get over it.

People like u make me sick. I am ashamed i even live on this same Earth with u. This is so sad and I feel very bad for you. I hope one day u will find the true human in yourself. Please stop cryin, bitchin, moaning, starting websites cause its not going to accomplish anything. What a waste of time this website is. Also what a waste of a human soul u are.

I have one more thing to say FLY > VICK > FLY > ON THE ROAD…HAHAHA! Nothing u can do about it. I love it and have already pre-ordered a #7 jersey. Even got one for my daughter.

      • Max:

Won’t be seeing it, won’t be watching it but will root for any team that plays against the Eagles. Glad to read you are bringing your daughter up to admire such positive role models as a dog killer

        • Steve56:

What about you bringing your daughter up to think that regardless of if people pay the consequences of their actions, the should still be kicked while their down? Does that seem right to you?

          • Nancy:

I;m sure that’s what you tell her about all felons, not just the ones who play for your football team

      • A dog lover with SENSE!:

I agree with your comment here totally. I am a DOG LOVER! and I would never fight my dogs! However, I would never put my dog’s life over a human. We have individuals in the NFL who have shot, paralyzed, and detroyed human lives! And, if they can continue a career and be forgiven, what’s with people trying to crucify Vick over a DOG! gET A LIFE PEOPLE!

        • Honest guy:

          AMEN!!!

        • Nemesis:

How come Vick supporters have a hard time with things like spelling? It’s hard to take a point seriously when you have to de-code the poor spelling.

Humans are better than any animal? So, let me get this straight. Because we have a slightly more advanced brain + an opposible thumb means we can kill anything non-human indiscriminately? That’s just beautiful. If I had a gun with one bullet, had to kill something and my choices were A) My dog & B) Some crack addict loser who pisses and craps publicly in the streets and makes the sewage treatment plant smell good by comparison, I wouldn’t even blink. One less crack addict.

Moves like this make me question society as a whole. We are still, very [edit - gaelic word for love makin'] barbaric and primative.

          • In all fairness to people that agree or disagree with this site, the conversations here do get emotional for some people and when emotions run high, so to do spelling and grammar mistakes.

          • Honest guy:

There is something seriously wrong with you to say that you would rather kill a crack addict than a dog! People falter in life. We all make mistakes. For you to place animal life over a human’s say a whole lot about your character!

          • reggie:

are u serious?????? that crack addicted just might be ur family member one day. maybe going out of ur way to help someone in need would be a better attitude to have. i dont know…. just wishful thinking.

        • This site would like to see all violent felons removed/banned/prevented from playing in the NFL.

If you want violent felons in the NFL and want to say an amen to violent felons in the NFL, we definitely disagree.

          • Honest guy:

See I just dont get your point… Why? Why do you care if they play in the NFL or not? That is their chosen career path. WHO ARE YOU to decide they should choose another career path? So what, does this site plan to make a list of jobs which are appropriate for these people? Get real! Teams within the NFL have one goal, and that is to field the best talented team possible. That’s it. Not to field the character team. Its nice to have both, but not a requirement. If Vick gives the Eagles a better chance to win games, then they did what they should have, which was to sign him.

      • Dear Proud Dog Owner.

Your response to my post was: “People like u make me sick. I am ashamed i even live on this same Earth with u. This is so sad and I feel very bad for you. I hope one day u will find the true human in yourself. Please stop cryin, bitchin, moaning, starting websites cause its not going to accomplish anything. What a waste of time this website is. Also what a waste of a human soul u are.”

        ……
Don’t waste one second of your valuable time feeling “bad” for me, sweetie. As you stated, I’m a waste of a human soul. Now go get some rest, that little neuron’s had a demanding day!

I must say I’m thankful that you don’t support my opinion. It’s the plethora of posts similar to yours that ridicule and delegitimize a viewpoint.

        :)

  • scenestealer:

Yeah Lisa it’s a thing to behold the Vick mob come out of the termite-ridden woodwork of sociopathic cellulose. It’s such a waste of time to address their ravings. I see SackVick is being mentioned in articles already. Fascinating.

  • Matt:

SHUT UP. GO EAGLES CANT WAIT TO SEE THAT GREEN 7 ON THE FIELD

  • Louis Lipps Sinks Ships:

    Ahhhhhh…….all caps….the mark of a gentleman.

  • scenestealer:

Ah, annoyed, we didn’t give Stallworth 30 days, the courts did. He should’ve gotten more time. Now for the hard part for you, in short: Stallworth’s crime is akin to an accident, i.e., unintentional, in the commission of a reckless act whereas Vick’s was one of prolonged, depraved, premeditated evil intent which he took joy from, whereas Stallworth only got joy from the drinking, at least at first. Stallworth didn’t mean to do what he did, Vick did.

I’ve explained that so many times already to others incapable of critical thinking. Thank public ed. Enough. I’m sleepy.

Oh, one more thing: some people think people don’t have souls either. After seeing some of the meanness displayed on this site from Vick’s defenders, I’d be inclined to agree that might be true.

    Yawn…………………..

    • Scenestealer’s score = 1 // and the dream team of Matt and Bernie = 0! HAHAHAHA

      :) :)

    • bernie:

are you serious.. No matter what a human being and dog are not on the same level.. Leonard little playing in the NFL now and he kill someone and then got caught again drinking and driving..You and your lover ones drive everyday and you are effect by drinking and driving… So care about human more than dogs.. I trying to see yall dog “lovers” points but it is crazy.. A man got everything taking from him and did time. .. While not let the man work.. killing a few dogs is not worth spending his whole life in jail.. Gave the man a chance to mess up again and get a life!!!!

      • Max:

He did not get everything taken away from him.
He lost his homes, his clothes (the ones he put overalls over so they wouldn’t be soiled when he killed dogs) and less than two years of freedom.
He also lost his reputation among most people around the world but I doubt if he cares about that much.
He has been welcomed back into the NFL unlike Donte Stallworth who made a terrible mistake, admitted it and is out of the league for a year.
While you are correct there are various felons in the league, that doesn’t make it right.

        • Steve56:

So how much is enough? What do you want from this man, his first born son as well? If he were taking some other job making lots of money, would there be a problem?

  • scenestealer:

Well they probably are Lisa but here you only get 30 minutes on a PC at the library–that would explain the lack of punctuation, obsession with caps, and incomprehensible lines of thought.

  • doggie doctor:

To the coordinator of this site – alot of hard work. I had been searching for Lurie’s and Goodell’s addresses all over with no luck. I have been working to round up phone numbers and addresses for the sponsors. I am a veterinarian and owner of many rescued animals including three pitbulls. I am going to voice my opinion on this and encourage my dog loving clients to do the same by providing them with the proper information.I wish everyone who is upset by this will do the same. Speak up in memory of the dogs whose lives ended so terribly.

    • bernie:

well how about you do something better with you time than coordinator this site… take time and do some work.. I get that you love dogs…. but it is only a few dogs..Why are you upset!!! the man did he time .. let the man go

      • Gumpysmom:

You need to get your facts straight. Vick himself admitted having fighting dogs since he was 8 years old, and he didn’t know any better. That is 22 years of dog torture.

    • Dan Kelly:

I don’t understand people like you. I am an extreme dog lover. I have a 3 yr old cockapoo named Madden who is my best bud. How about you honor the memory of soldiers who died fighting for our country or police officers who were slain in the line of duty while protecting their communities? How about use some of your energy towards those memories? I’m disgusted. Your vindictive attitude towards Mike is shameful. You are no more moral than someone who participates in dogfighting.

      • Max:

An extreme dog lover? Those are the same words the Eagles owner used to justify signing Vick. I hope none of the dogs either ofd claims to love ever runs into anyone with sadistic mentality of Michael Vick.
You saeem to assume people can’t walk and chew gum at the same time, that because we engage in opur rights to freedom of speech to voice our disgust about Michael Vick we don’t care about anything else. In fact it appears the people who are capable of focusing on just one thing at a time are those who want the Eagles to win no matter what.
The Eagles would have done far better to keep Brian Dawkins than to bring this person onto their team.

        • Dan Kelly:

What’s disgusting is that you people would rather ruin a man’s life than give him the opportunity to turn around his life and do something positive for your cause. He would be the biggest voice you could ever have against animal cruelty and would reach audiences you never have and probably never would yet you wish to continue the cycle of negativity instead of promoting positive change. Thats all you anti-Vick zealots are doing, perpetuating the cycle of hate that he started with those animals instead of taking advantage of turning this into a hugely positive and productive outcome for the community just so you can satisfy your vindictive nature. You are very misguided.

          • Casey:

He ruined his own life, nobody forced him to make the choices he did
By your standards, then nobody should condemn anyone who has done evil, lets just let God deal with Hitler and Manson, who are we to say that any other human has done something despicable
The Bible was literally talking about stoning, not about seeing wrong and trying to right it

          • Dan Kelly:

He has already been condemned, he served his punishment. Get over it. Support him to create some good.

  • Louis Lipps Sinks Ships:

    Bernie!

I’m so sorry, I was misinformed!

As long as “the man did he time”…all is okay

I would be more upset if the man had only done “her” time…or ‘it” time…but as long as the man did “he” time….all is okay

Is “he” time related to he-man and the masters of the universe? If so, I am regretably out of date. Apparently I have a job and don’t have as much time to dedicate to watching cartoons as our man Bernie.

  • al-amin:

All you vick protesters are really sick in the head. the fact that dogs are known as BEAST and are really not supposed to live with humans according to the Bible makes matters worse. Not only did Vick serve two ridiculous years for a crime that to me is not a crime, but he is also dealing with all the weirdos who want to put him down for it. If you call yourself a Christian go kill yourself right now and prepare for hell because only God can judge us.
If you do not believe in a supreme being get a life because none of your dogs were affected and its just a dog.
There are rapists, murderers, child molesters, and other serious criminals that dont get ridiculed as much as Vick is and its sad to see how stupid Americans are. For someone to care more about a beast than an actually human being proves that person is severely demented and that person (PETA and all the Vick haters) need to be admitted into a Mental Health facility. At the end of the day the only person’s life that has been affected in this is Michael Vick. You weirdos need to show some decency and respect the fact that man is even being so humble and diplomatic about all the ridicule he is taking.
And to all you Vick protesters, i hope your dog falls from a building, breaks its spine and makes you lose your job, all your money, your spouse and family trying to get the dog healthy again.
    Peace

    • Gumpysmom:

I don’t even know how to respond to such a sick rant.
      What is wrong with you?

    • Brett:

I will give you this. You seem to be cut from the same cloth as Vick. Most likely one of the folks that runs in his little cult. You are at least a cut above Vick as you are honest and open about your heartless views. Possibley you could get him to be as good and profess his real feelings. Good work keep it up. Its helpful to expose that this problem extends beyond just a few animal abusers but to their pillar of society fanclub. Youshould send your thoughts to the Eagel’s execs. Might pick up a free season pass. You’re the kind of fan they seem to be looking to attract

    • Casey:

I think perhaps instead of quoting the Bible you intended to cite the Koran as some Muslims believe a dog prevented the Archangel Gabriel from entering Muhammed’s house and therefore they should be killed.

  • Jon:

I’m not going to sit here and ramble on about everything pro-vick supports have already said. I agree with them that he deserves a 2nd chance, and should have the opportunity the make a living doing what he does best, and that’s play professional football. I just came on this cite to hear from the other side, and frankly I just don’t understand why place so much emphasis on continuing to kick someone where their down. The guy lost 2 years in the prime of his career, endorsements, and creditability. How much more can he lose?

We all make mistakes in life, some harsher than others, but why deny this man a chance at redemption? Vick has brought this issue of dog fighting to the front lines in the media and the thoughts of the nation as a whole. I would almost guarantee his punishment has directed influenced others to stop their participation and think twice about continuing to fight dogs. Give him a chance to bring about positive change! After all, who better to influence others involved in dog fighting to stop, than a former contributor.

    • Nicole:

Jon – thank you for not attacking and stating your case in a constructive manner! But the thing that I think gets all of us is that he went to jail not for the brutal and heinous way that he financed and participated in dog fighting and murdering but for a racketeering charge! The NFL has full rights to release him permanently for just gambling! My personal issue with all of this (aside from the obvious)is that EVERYONE in this world should be held to higher standards than we currently are. If I was as sick as to do something as unthinkable as him, I would not be allowed back into my job, would you?

Since being released, Vick has not done one thing to make right what he did. He has not used his platform other than to say that “he now understands that people care and love their pets” – something we all know pretty much from birth! If he did some positive leg work and not just lip service, maybe he could be reformed.

      • reggie:

        John 8:2-11 (King James Version)

2And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

3And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

6This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

      • Honest guy:

Hasn’t done anything? I guess partnering with the Humane Society, and Boys & Girls Club doesnt count… Get real. If he didnt do anything, he would still be ok in my eyes because he paid his debt to society already. Everything else is just the cherry on the top. LET THE MAN LIVE!!!

        • Gumpysmom:

HSUS is not what they appear to be. They are no more pro animal than PETA. They did not want to try to save Vicks dogs in the first place. I have not seen where he is involved with the Boy and Girls Club. I will research that today.

          • Just for the record this site is not related to either HSUS nor PETA. The owners of this site are not members of either group either.

We started this site because both groups seemed to be missing a couple important things. There was some common cause in relation to our desire back in 2007 to see Michael Vick brought to justice, but their ends and means didn’t always align with ours on a number of items.

We’re not saying that either group is good or bad, we just saw a different path to follow.

  • Goodell goofed!!
Dungy lost much long time respect from many.
Who gives the “murdered” dogs a second chane?
If the murderer makes it into any NFL game, each team to install one Pit Bull on defense when Vick is in the game. We all know from the heart when Vick will pay the real price and what he will miss by not being welcome at “The Bridge”

  • Nicole:

What I want to propose is that everyone who is protesting the reinstatement of Michael Vick also do something positive for animals – volunteer a few hours at an animal shelter, make a monetary donation or get a list of what items they need and purchase it for them, or better yet, adopt an animal (if possible!! – I’d get 10 dogs if I could!!)! It can be $10, $5 or even $1 – but it will make a difference!

    • Lisa:

      Nicole-

Many of us already do, and that is why what Vick did upsets us so much. I personally devote 20 hours a week to helping rescue animals. I regularly give $$ to support animals rescued from situations like the Vick dogs came out of.

When you spend as much time as we do seeing the result of what careless breeding, dog fighting and animal abusers do, you would be as outraged as we are that Vick is allowed to return to a career in the NFL.

      • Honest guy:

Last time I checked, the NFL and dogs were unrelated. Why would you be outraged? This isnt some severly depraved doctor returning to medicine, or a teacher who slept with a student returning to the classroom. These are completely unrelated. If its about him being a role model, then that a terrible reason too. Children find role models more in their everyday life than on television. Any trust that everyone else in the NFL is not neccessarily role model material.

      • Gumpysmom:

Lisa, well said. I too support dog rescue at a local level. I don’t support the National organizations because I don’t trust them. I give time and money, and you are right, that is one of the reasons I am outraged with Vick. If I didn’t do what I could to prevent this torturer from returning to the NFL, how could I look my granddaughter in the face? How could I justify looking the other way? We may not succeed in having him removed but that won’t keep me from trying.
My 11 year old granddaughter collected over 2000 food items and $1000 in a 3 week period for the food bank. It proves over and over again the impact that a few people can have.

  • Angela:

Im not a fan of Michael Vuck or what he done but,He has done his time and know what he done is wrong,You have a NFL Player who gets in a car drives drunk and KILLS a man and he gets next to nothing!!! Is it ok to kill a human being and get a slap on the wrist and still play NFL football? Or can you do a crime that you have been punished for except what you done was wrong and try to start a new life for yourself? I mean the other NFL Player not only was driving drunk he took the life of somebody’s son, father,a husband..he was someone to somebody with a breathing heart!

  • Angela:

    Micharl Vick**

  • Angela:

Michael Vick** Only took me 3 times..lol

  • Dan Kelly:

This website is very disappointing to me. You self righteous, judgmental people need to do something positive for your cause instead of trying to ruin someones life. The man comitted heinous acts. He served his punishment, now lets see if he can turn his life around and use his past mistakes as a teaching tool against animal cruelty. He can have a far greater impact on the issue than any of you ever will with this site and you, like PETA has, should understand that and use it to your causes advantage. It’s funny for you people to ride your high horse on the moral high road, you sure are quick to kick the guy when he is down instead of doing the christian thing and supporting this guy in changing his life and making a positive impact in the community. Ruining him would be a better outcome for you than positive influence on the community? Then your actions are just as offensive as his were. Get a clue.

  • gus man:

Get an fing life people. I have season tickets and I will not be giving them up just bc of this situation. Hope to see all you protester this season. Let the hate go and let vick throw. Hahahahahahahaha welcome to philly vick

  • Steve:

If you go to the Philadelphia Eagles website right now, there is a poll asking if you are a “Hater or Lover” of this diseased human. Go there now and vote!!

  • Where's-the-Love???:

The more that I read the comments from anti-Vick protesters, the more it seems that a lot of you all’s problem is jealousy. I know that sounds bad, and I really am not trying to be mean, or call names, but rather state an observation. If you go back and read a lot of the posts on here objectively, you may begin to see my point. It seems that a lot of people have a bigger problem with the fact that he can do what he has done and still make millions. Ask youselves; Should he really not utilize talents anymore because he has made mistakes in the past? I would really like to see some realistic industries in which you all wouldnt mind Vick working… Would you hire him in your industry? If not, then what do you propose he do with the rest of his life? Where is the compassion for forgiveness? Though Vick showed no compassion for the dogs, how are you proving yourselves any different? If this were a Pacman situation with a ten-time repeat offender, I would understand everyone on this board, but that isnt the case here. Yes the dog fighting ring lasted a while, but people usually learn a lesson only after facing a consequence. Just doesnt seem right that people can spend so much of their life trying to keep someone else from going on with theirs…

    • Steve:

He can get his life back together – doing something else. If an ordinary person commits a felony, many professions are automatically off limits to him. The idea that everybody gets a second chance in the USA is false – for some things, it’s one strike and you’re out.

      • Steve56:

But think about it, that is not the case in the NFL. It never will be. Its a sports business, and their goal is to put the best team on the field as possible. If he fits, then he should be given an opportunity. Dont get me wrong, if he just got a fine instead of nearly two years, and if he hadnt lost as much as he has I might be right there with you all… But at some point enough is enough.

    • Nancy:

      Where’s the love?
It’s going out to the thousands of people who deserve to be heroes, from the ones caring for the few dogs lucky enough to escape Vick’s clutches to those who aid the most helpless in our society, be they human or animals.
Jealous of Michael Vick? Surely you’re joking thinking that anybody would want to be so cold and heartless. Money can’t buy you love

      • Honest guy:

They are dogs people!!! If he was runnin a cockroach fighting circuit would it be a problem? Yes they are cute and cuddly, but at the end of the day they are JUST DOGS!!! You must be the same type of people that dress your dogs in little outfits and take them to the doggy spa. That is just rediculous!!! People wake up! Wake up!!! Protest exterminators if you’re gonna protest vick. they kill everyday for a living… Stop putting the lives of them up there with humans, when I bet 90% of you just ate a cheeseburger. What cause you think a dog is cute, then a cows life is meaningless?

        • Nancy:

If you compare dogs to cockroaches, you must be a Vick supporter.
God’s eye is on the sparrow and every other living creature and if we go out of our way to torture and kill them, I believe we will be held responsible, if not in this life then in the next.

          • Honest guy:

For a post which refers to biblical scripture, you seem to be awful quick to judge? Now I know I may be a bit rusty, but isnt that God’s job? “Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone”…

I FEEL BAD FOR THE DOGS BUT HOW ABOUT SOMEONE FEELING BAD FOR THE FAMILY OF THE MAN THAT DONTE STALLWORTH KILLED. I CANNOT SEEM TO FIND A WEBSITE ON THAT. VERY INTERESTING
    GO #7…EVEN THOUGH I’M STILL A BRONCOS FAN :-)

  • sala bizzle:

SO WHAT TO SAY ABOUT DONTE STALLWORTH KILLING A HUMAN BEING DRUNK DRIVING???..NO ONE WANT TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION……..
    HERES SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT
IN THE LAST 10YEARS PETA SAVED 25,000 ANIMALS AND ONLY 3 THOUSAND OF THEM ANIMALS FOUND HOMES
CAN ANYONE GUESS WHAT HAPPEND TO THE REST OF THE 22,000 ANIMALS??????……DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE LOOK IT UP ..IAMMA GO TO EVERY EAGLES GAME AND PROTEST PETA IF THEY ARE THERE CAUSE THEY KILLED MORE THEN 22,000 ANIMALS IN THE LAST 10YEARS

  • D:

I’m curious, if Vick was a banker would this website exist? Would all of you be in front of wachovia protesting. Where are you people when some stray dog mauls a defenseless child?

    • That’s a good question. As a writer, I have been covering the financial crisis and the crime committed therein for over three years.

However, setting up a protest site for individual banks or banks as a whole, especially in the credit card industry might be a very effective tool.

      Thanks for the idea!

  • Brett:

Maybe Vick lovers should look a little deeper into the kind of personality they support being elevated to or maintained as a role model and celebraty.

Vick has learned his leson all right. His lesson on how to coverup his mental defect and act like he is a sorry changed man. Most cons need many years in the joint practicing their sad tale of woe and reciteing it over and over until it sounds sincere. Vick got it down in just over a year. His cellie must have been a very good teacher.

We as a society spend a lot of resources studying and trying to change the behavior and enviroment youth but pay little attention to at risk adults such as Vick. The facts are he statistically stands a far greater chance of becoming a famouse serial killer than a famous quaterback.

The Eagles management should have considered a few facts prior to signing an animal abuser.

Joshua Marquis – Vice President of the National District Attorneys Association –
    Has stated:

‘Animal cruelty can be linked to the vast majority of serial killers, many habitual offenders, and most children and teens who kill.’

Marquis has noted multiple examples including:
    • ‘Albert DeSalvo, The Boston Strangler killed 13 women. When he was a boy he put cats and dogs into orange crates and shot arrows through the slats to kill them.
    • Ted Bundy, was a serial rapist and killer of at least 30 women. As a youth he tortured and killed animals.
    • Jeffrey Dahmer, killed and cannibalized at least 17 people. As a boy, he killed and impaled the heads of cats and dogs on sticks.’
Marquis also points to the links between animal cruelty to domestic violence, child abuse and elder abuse:
‘There is an alarming association between people who torture, abuse and kill animals – and also torture, abuse and kill their spouses and/or partners, children and the elderly. The abusers seek to control the animals they abuse and likewise want to control the people that they abuse.
    • In one national and other statewide studies – 71 to 83% of women entering domestic violence shelters reported that their partners also abused or killed the family pet.
    • Researchers found animal abuse in 88% of those families in which there was child abuse, and numerous other studies indicate there is a high statistical link between animal abuse and child abuse.
    • The threat of, or act of, animal abuse is also used by the abuser to keep their victims silent about the abuse taking place in their homes. The threat of animal abuse is frequently enough to make a child, adult and elder victims keep quiet about any abuse taking place. The fear that their pet will be tortured or killed keeps them from seeking help – or reporting the abuse.’
Marquis also directly links the dangers of dog-fighting to other violent crimes:
    • ‘It is important that prosecutors work with police to investigate and prosecute those who organize and participate in these blood sports. These fights not only promote and foster animal abuse, but create an environment that spawns other crimes such as drug trafficking and drug use, gun trafficking, money laundering and other types of both high and lower level criminal activity. The dangers associated with dog and cock-fighting are notorious and frequently children are present at these events.

I hope the fans, sponsors, general public and most of all other players and team mates willthink about just what cart they are hitching their wagon to.

    • Ryan:

I think your logic is a little backwards. If someone has no problem killing humans I am sure they would not have a problem killing animals. I believe it quite a stretch to say that just because a person would kill animals they would kill humans too.

      • Its something that is not a direct causation ‘would’ but definitely increases the likelihood, especially with people that kill animals for fun for years and years. Sociopaths like this are wired differently than normal people, they don’t follow the same types of moral rules. They are often times very skilled at telling lies, because they barely know the difference between a lie and the truth themselves.

      • Gumpysmom:

I think you missed the timeline here. These serial killers who had no conscience, started by torturing and killing animals. The then advanced to killing and torturing humans. It is not backward at all.

  • D:

WOW!!!!!! that’s a bit of a reach don’t you think? Somebody better go check the Orkin man’s house for dead bodies because he’s always killing poor little mice and insects

  • sala bizzle:

this is for D..exactly my point if he was anyone else no one would of cared..what about the teacher, little league coach and the nurse in texas that got caught in the dog fighting ring..
and to BRETT vick didn’t kill the dogs the people that had the dog fighting ring (his friends) did vick wasn’t anywhere to be found or anywhere close the only reason he went to jail and was charged is cause he owned that house and no one fessed up to their crimes so it always goes on the owner..like i said the REAL people that did this is out there scott free…..DONTE STALLWORTH KILLED A HUMAN BEING where is the protest at and he spent under a MONTH in jail for killing a person DRUNK!!!!!!

    • Brett:

Yeah I guess you have a point. Perhaps you can run to Charles Manson’s defense. After all it was his his little band of friends who were butchering Sharon Tate and her unborn baby while poor old Charlie was back at the ranch minding his own bussiness.

Then there’s poor OJ sitting in a Nevada prision for only trying to recover his stolen treasures and all the while the real killer is out running around free.

For instantance under felony murder rules all parties who participate in the crime are just as liable as the one who pulls the trigger. You don’t just get to point the finger at your crime partners and become a victim in your own right.

Part of takeing responsability is suffering the conseqences of your actions.

How many men and women will have to forgo a decient job because employers disqualify applicant’s with a felony conviction on their record.

If MV had been say a veterinarian he would have lost his license to practice for life.
      Give me a break

      • Excellent points Brett. I’ve tried making that argument a number of times and your explanation is one of the better and more concise of any I have seen yet.

    • Michael Vick did admit to killing dogs, to say otherwise is inaccurate.

  • sala bizzle:

but you jus made my point brett….those was people murdered during the manson and oj murders not HUMANS ..a dogs life will never compare to a humans life..that for the justification brett plus yea he would’ve lost his license for life cause its dealing with animal but he’s not dealing with animals he’s a football players not a veterinarian

  • sala bizzle:

brett gets no cool points cause he’s missing the main point of all..a human life is far more greater then a animals life..michael vick had NOTHING to do with them dogfighting actions..he only owned the house which was occupied by his friends being that his friends didn’t fess up to anything he got left holding the bag..if im in a car with you and i have a gun and u don’t know it we get pulled over and i don’t own up for my weapon guess who goes to jail for gun possesion…YOU..leave vick alone..cause this is america LAND OF SECOND CHANCES…KNOW THE HISTORY!..everyone wanna get rid of everyone..but no one want to work with poeple to try to make a better impact..IT’S FAR MORE EASIER TO GID RID OF SOMEONE THEN TO WORK WITH THEM…WHAT IF ONE OF YOUR KIDS GET CAUGHT IN A DOG FIGHTING RING WOULD YOU DISOWN THEM OR WOULD YOU TRY TO GET HIM HELP AND COME TO AN SORT OF CONSELLING

    • Nancy:

Please don’t post misinformation, he was hands-on in the torturing and killing of the dogs. Three of his cohorts were prepared to testify to that which is why he took the plea bargain to conspiracy and racketeering.
He didn’t just give them money or own the house, not even Michael Vick is making that claim.
He took part in drowning dogs, electrocuting dogs and hanging dogs. Maybe that doesn’t matter to you but don’t rewrite history

    • Brett:

      sala bizzle,
If were my sons I would be just as critical. One thing every criminal and every victim have in common is they all have a mother and a father. If you looked to every criminal and dismissed their action just because the were someones kids you would then have solved the problem. There would be no criminals.
That being said if it were on of my kids and they ever wanted anyone to belive they were remorseful for their crime but they wernt going to give up the names of all they knew to be involved I would call them a liar to their face not stick up for them. If an inmate for instance wants to be removed from gang status he must first debrief and tell all he knows about the gang’s members, associates, and activities (rat them all out). If he refuses he is not taken serious and remains on gang status. Has our boy MV come forward and done all he can to bring all the others he knows to justice or is he just another fraud? Think about it. If he has really reformed and understood the evil of the practice he would want anyone involved in jail.

  • Rich:

THis site is a riot. A bunch of limp wrists and housewives with their asses up in the air.
Vick crimes were heinous but he paid the price, discussion over.

PS To the dope running the site you may want to look into the Revenue Sharing model the NFL has, though they do not share aggregate revenue, total revenue is shared and it is about 90% of the teams revenue. The signage in the stadium plays a very small part in the bottom line. If you could succeed in stopping people from going to the games you might be accomplishing something because BOTH parking and concessions are the major revenue streams, (in comparison to signage not including naming rights) that the team does not share with the rest of the NFL. But you cannot so you are wasting everyones time. So in conclusion: housewives, go make a sandwich, limp wrists go back to crying about the whales.

    • Casey:

You sound like a real manly guy so I can’t imagine why you’re here, your macho friends may start to wonder why you’re wasting your time with us limp wristed whalesavers and sandwich-making housewives

      • Rich:

Macho? I guess. I am surely more well rounded than your ilk. And just what are you doing here? Changing the world from your den? HA. There is a “Whale Wars” marathon on today, you better get to it Sally.

  • Brett:

OK. I’m starting to understand you. You state and I quote “those was people murdered during the manson and oj murders not HUMANS” Are sugesting that Manson’s and OJ’s victims were just people not HUMANS? I have to assume you didn’t mean to say what you said you just failed to articulate your point. Maybe your other statement “a dogs life will never compare to a humans life..” When you discuss sadistic murderers such as Manson and his crime partners (family members)than we agree there is no comparission. The dog stands head and shoulders above the worthless shreds of human debri like Manson,BTK,Daulmer, ect. I throw Vick and his sick cohourts in the same pile. There is a lot more to being a human bieng that simpleing DNA. a body absent a soul is not a human at all.
And lastly your point of unrelated jobs. Are you under the impression that if Donny Stallworth had been an airline pilot that killed someone while he was drunk driving he would of had his pilots license reinstated and been allowed to return to his former career? Not a chance even though driving a car has nothing to do with flying a plane.

You’re probably not a bad sort we just fudalmentally dissagree.

  • erik:

I have no problem with Vick playing, and before you lam blast me I have 4 dogs, and 4 cats I love all my pets. But where were all you people when the NFL was letting people play who had beaten their wives or killed a person. Now Vick hurts fluffy and you have your panties in a bunch. Hypocrites

  • Rich:

Funny I do not see any discussion on the cultural acceptance in the black community for dog fighting. Just emotional posting from the limps wrists and sandwich makers.

    • If such cultural acceptance exists (and its not just a myth) then the community needs to work through municipal, city, county, state, & federal legislators to make it legal.

As is all communities are bound by the law of the land regardless of whether they culturally accept it or not.

If you want to set up a website to promote the legalization of dog fighting, then do so.

You will also not find too many discussions on the cultural acceptance of practices ranging from polygamy, female castration practices, foot binding, or sacrificing virgins to prevent volcanoes.

All those topics have nothing to do with the issue at hand.

      • Rich:

I agree, all the topics you brought up have nothing to do with the issue at hand. So it begs the question, why did you bring them up?
My point relates directly to the issue at hand. Dog fighting is an accpted form of entertainment in the ghettos and rural south for african americans. How can you not recognize that a guy who went to his first dog fight when he was 12, who was never discouraged by anyone in his life to not attend them, would not have the luxury of distancing himself from it and seeing it for what it is? I know you are blinded by your emotions but to think that because there are laws against it that it is not accepted in certain segments of our society is naive.
As for the crack that i should start a pro-dog fighting website, why would I? I am not pro-dog fighting, quite the opposite. that you would infer that I am shows a lack of maturity or a lack of ability to discuss the issue.

        • Ignorance of the law is no excuse to break it. If you want to give Michael Vick a pass because he was ignorant of the law, that just doesn’t fly. If you want to give Michael Vick a pass on breaking the law because he was brought up by parents that didn’t tell him that a community cultural acceptance of dog fighting ran contrary to the law, that doesn’t fly either.

You say, “Dog fighting is an accpted form of entertainment in the ghettos and rural south for african americans.” I do not agree with that statement. It may take place, but that does not mean that it is accepted.

Child porn takes place in a number of places, that doesn’t mean it is accepted nor that it should be accepted.

Wife beating & child abuse takes place all over the world, that doesn’t make it accepted nor acceptable.

I apologize for stating that if you feel that dog fighting is acceptable that you should push to make it legal not just culturally acceptable.

I confess that I do not understand why a person like yourself would defend the practice of dog fighting based on your perceived cultural acceptance of dog fighting “in the ghettos and rural south”.

Regardless, I will not exonerate Michael Vick for his own ignorance in committing these crimes. He had more benefits that most people in the world could ever dream of, including a good education, a very large salary, and business partners and attorneys that could have helped to advise him on the legality of his business ventures.

When you contract with other companies on the scale of hundreds of millions of dollars as Michael Vick did, you do not enter into agreements with out seeking out good legal advice.

For example, Michael Vick should have had a conversation such as the following with his attorney . .

MV – Nike is offering me a corporate sponsorship for $x million dollars, it stipulates that I must maintain a good public image and avoid illegal activity.

Lawyer – Yes that is a normal stipulation. Are you engaging in any activity that might be illegal or could harm your public image?

MV – Well I would like to fund a dog fighting and gambling ring. I would also like to buy and sell dogs from cocaine dealers, whom occasionally might bring their dogs to my residence to fight them. I would pay my friends and relatives to help in this venture. Would this void my contract with Nike or would it be illegal or would it cause conflicts with moral turpitude clauses with the Falcons or the NFL

Attorney – Yes that would void your contract with Nike, the Falcons, the NFL and many other sponsors. You should not engage in the activity or else you could risk losing everything and going to jail. As your attorney I must advise you not to break the law and as your adviser I would advise that this activity would be very harmful to your future.

Based on the past, it would seem that Michael Vick did not do this. He did not meet his obligations to any of the partners above nor many others.

Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law. Cultural conditioning to practice illegal activities is also no excuse to break the law, although in some circumstances (say a juvenile crime) it might be a mitigating circumstance in sentencing, but Michael Vick was neither juvenile when he contracted, nor when he set up his dog fighting ring. Every day he ran it, he chose to break the law.

I would posit that he new it was against the law, otherwise he would have formed a corporation, wrote off the expenses on his taxes and many other things.

Michael Vick did do some very stupid things over the last couple of years, but it would appear that he did know that he was breaking the law as is evidenced by his actions, and evidenced by his repeated lies about the entire situation.

          • Rich:

I am not giving him a pass, just a second chance after paying his debt to society. I never wrote anywhere that he was ignorant of the law, i am sure he knew it was illegal but it is an accpeted for of entertainment. Michjael Nutter this week mentioned that Philly has a large dog fighting problem in the hood, (obvoiusly paraphrasing) and this from a reporter from Vick’s hometown: “In some way you can almost understand what happened because there’s a culture of dogfighting in places like the East End,”

If you want to believe that this practice is a myth go ahead, villifying one guy while being blind to the thousands doing the same is not really going to help spot when he loses his match in north philly, or the east end, or on the outskirts of atlanta.

bottom line is this. he committed crimes in which dog fighting was involved, lost millions, did time and paid through the nose to get a fresh start. he paid his price and deserves a second chance.

PS as for Vick going corporate, He did, MV7 Inc. was rebadged “Bad Newz Kennels” in 2002

          • I know the practice exists, its the acceptance of the practice that is a myth.

Society does not accept dog fighting as acceptable as evidenced by the laws on the books. If those changed, I’ll buy your argument, until then your hypothesis is untenable.

  • Brett:

Vicks crimes were premeditated, repeated over and over with malase and forethought over a long period of time. Why all this commparrision to spontanious crimes of passion and accidental drunk driving car crashes. It’s no excuss but it is different. Show me someone who plans on Wednessday to go out and get drunk on Friday and take their car out to run someone down is far different that a stupid accedent.
Would you have us belive that Stallworth had all his friends over to chear with him and make bets on weather or not the victim would die. Did the spousal abusers you referance invite all their sick buddies to come over on Sunday afternoon and chearlead while they threw their wife in the ring and let their friends make bets on how long it would take him to beat her to death? You have to put all this in perspective. Michale Vick committed these crimes on a regular basis for the sheer fun of it and a little walking around cash to supplement his multi million dollar weekend game gig. He gets not pitty or excuse pandering from me.

    • Rich:

Good points, Vicks acts were premeditated and he deserves to be punished for it. he should lose his contract with the falcons, lose his homes, pay through the nose and go to jail for 18 months.
      Oh wait that already happened.
No one is saying what he did was right but he did pay his debt. he deserves to make a living.

  • sala bizzle:

my whole point is that what if your kids was caught
dog fighting will you disown them or will you try to understand ways to better the situation???..and no one will truthfully answer this question

    • I would not disown my kids, but I sure as hell would not work to put them back into the situation that encouraged them to break the law in the first place, no more than I would have my children hang out with heroin dealers if they were fresh out of rehab for heroin addiction.

this situation has nothing to do with disowning Michael Vick nor holding him back, it has everything to do with preventing a repeat of the same problem either by Michael Vick’s hands or by showing others that there is no substantial penalty for the crimes that Michael Vick committed, simply take a couple years off in prison and when you get out you will get a $6.8 million?

That’s a terrible message, a terrible result, and a travesty of justice.

      • Rich:

Travesty of Justice? are you that blinded by your emotion? the guy is qualified for a job that only about 20 people in America are better than him at. Like it or lump it he goes back to work. If he was an accountant would he not be free to interview and sign with another firm? Sure he would. It appears you posts come more from emotion for dogs and jealousy for someone making more money than you.
It is really ridiculous really, hey Mike you cannot go back to football because you make too much money, go be a used car salesman. that thinking is just jealousy via keyboard.

        • As an accountant, I can tell you that you are incorrect. Most companies will not hire a person to manage money as an accountant if they are an ex-felon. Laws in most states prevent ex-felons from serving as corporate officers including accounting positions as well.

There are many other professions where this holds true as well, so your rebuttal would seem to be flawed.

Regardless, I do understand the intent of your analogy and would add that fans are the ones that pay for Michael Vick’s salary. The hiring is done by the NFL and the teams, but the money comes from the fans.

We as fans may not own the team, nor have hiring control, but we can let those that do know that their stakeholders will not support them financially when they make choices that we disagree with.

You of course are free to throw your own money around where you will. More power to you, at the end of the day, we may or may not sway the Eagles or the NFL or all of their sponsors, but in the past, we have been very capable of swaying people with the strength of our numbers and the combined strength of our money. Michael Vick may make $6.8 million over the next two years, but that money will come from fans.

We do have the power to stop this as a group if we choose to do so. We will see what we see.

          • Rich:

ex felons can be accountants. But that really is not the point and I think you know that. The guy is qualified for a job and after paying his debt has the right to return to it. Regardless of the radicals here.

And no you cannot affect anything by your little petitions. I have already written on the total revenue sharing model, in short, you are going after advertisers who are reponsible for about 3% of the teams yearly revenue. Nothing will change. If you guys were actually serious about it you would go to the Hood like Vick will be doing and educating those most likely to get involved in it to erradicate it.

Ironic that when this is all said and done Mike Vick will do more for animals than any arm chair activists signing petitions.

    • Doglover333:

I would disown them until I saw REAL change. I have a kid who was in trouble with the law. i spent 100,000 dollars on his rehab. He was in trouble in less than a month. So i do know. But i will not tolerate animal abuse. I caught my son blowing marijuana smoke in my cats face one time. he’ll never have the chance to do it again.

  • sala bizzle:

football is his life…by putting him back in football will not make him make the same mistake again..NOW IF VICK DOES GO BACK TO DOG-FIGHTING THEN I WILL SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN..until then give the guy a break…WE ALL DERSERVE A SECOND CHANCE..LIKE I SAID THIS COUNTRY WAS BUILT ON SECOND CHANCES

    • This country was not built on second chances, it was built by generation after generation that fought like hell to improve this country, to improve their lot in life, to work to create a better life and future for their kids.

There are no guarantees of second chances. There is no item in the bill of rights that says, you get a right to a second chance if you do something crazy, stupid, illegal, bad, evil, wrong, etc.

I’ve had family members fight and die in many wars that this country has been involved in over the years, they didn’t get a second chance.

The argument that Michael Vick deserves a second chance is a fallacy. America is the land of opportunity. Its not the land of unlimited opportunities for people that squander their opportunity and Michael Vick squandered more than your average person could ever dream of.

There are a lot of people around the country today, suffering financially due to the recession, the financial crisis, layoffs, the war and a lot else. If Michael Vick a convicted felon deserves a second chance, why not all those other people?

The answer, because no one is guaranteed a second chance, to preach anything different is to sell snake oil to people.

Furthermore, we do not have to give Michael Vick a second chance with our money, with our support.

If I want to support someones efforts, there are far more worthy people out there, not Michael Vick.

Paying money to support Michael Vick in financial terms is putting good money after bad money. I wouldn’t reinvest in Michael Vick any more than I’d invest money with Bernie Maddoff.

      :) I respectfully disagree. :)

Also, if football is Michael Vick’s life, why did he go and fight dogs? Why did he run an illegal interstate gambling ring? Why did he do those things with his football money?

Michael Vick has a good education, he has his health, and he still has a great deal of money and some very expensive homes and penthouses.

Again he has more of a head start over the majority of the population of the world. We are all for him making something of himself, as long as we do not have to support him financially in the NFL.

    • Rich:

Sala you are right, don’t listen to these extreme anti-humanists. Vick going back to the job he is best qualified for has nothing to do with dogfighting, that is a red herring thrown out by these hate and jealously filled extremists. You would think shittyparent333 would have some compassion or the human condition.
PS Not that shittyparent made mention of his son bvlowing pot smoke in the cats face? The issue for him was not the illegal drugs use but rather that Mr. Whiskers got a contact high. unbelievable.

  • sala bizzle:

CAUSE YA’LL MAKING IT OUT AS HE TOOK A ACTUAL HUMAN LIFE HE’S NO MONSTER..PEOPLE HAVE DONE WORSE

    • We are not making it out that he took an actual human life, even though one of his partners was murdered and that is still an unsolved crime (see Bud Melton in NC). Michael Vick is a monster, but there are definitely other monsters in the world that have done far worse. We’d prefer to prevent this monster from graduating to worse things, which is why we are working to remove our financial support from Michael Vick and the groups that pay him (NFL, Eagles, Sponsors).

There is nothing in the constitution that says Americans should be forced to pay the salary of an ex-con after he gets out of a taxpayer funded prison.

    • Doglover333:

He took THOUSANDS of lives. and I assure you, it mattered very much to them and me too. Idiot

  • sala bizzle:

HE TOOK THOUSANDS OF LIVES MY ARSE..PETA KILLED OVER 20,000 ANIMALS THAT COULDN’T BEEN ADOPTED

PLUS YOU WOULD NOT DISOWN YOUR KIDS I DON’T CARE WHAT THE CASE MAYBE..YOUR THE ONLY IDOIT CAUSE YOU DON’T KNOW THAT THIS COUNTRY WAS BUILT ON SECOND CHANCES CAUSE NOBODY NOT EVEN THE PEOPLE THAT STARTED THIS COUNTRY GOT EVERYTHING RIGHT..FOR EXAMPLE THE CRAZY WITCH HUNTS THAT HAPPENED LONG AGO..INNOCENT PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND THE PUBLIC GAVE THE GOVERNMENT A SECOND CHANCE TO RIGHT THEIR WRONG SO WHO’S THE IDOIT NOW…AND HIS FRIENDS ONLY TOO THE LIVES OF A ABOUT 50 SOMETHING DOGS NOT THOUSANDS..I SEE WHY YOUR SON IS A DRUG ADDICT IF I WERE YOUR I WOULD HAVE TO BE ON SOME TYPE OF DRUG TOO LIVING IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD……

    • My son is not a drug addict, he’s never used drugs, still in elementary school. Its a hypothetical. And I would not disown him, never said I would, but if he ever made a bad mistake, I would not put him back into a situation that would make it too easy for him to repeat the mistake.

He would need to learn from his mistakes and I as a parent would need to learn from mine.

As a fan, I have spent money on sponsors and the NFL that resulted in enabling Michael Vick to do what he did. I’m not going to repeat that mistake.

In regards to PETA, this site does not work with PETA and doesn’t endorse their actions. If we did, I probably would not have created the site in the first place and instead just worked through PETA channels, whatever those are.

But I did not agree with PETA on many issues and chose to tackle this issue differently.

You can call people idiots all you like, in general when you do so here in this forum, it simply works to strengthen the cause to prevent Michael Vick from playing in the NFL. This is our site and that is the cause we are striving for. I welcome your comments and your thoughts, especially when you help us, which is exactly what you seem to be doing. :)

  • Chavez:

How about all those charities the NFL supports? Just because Michael Vick is playing doesn’t mean the whole league is evil.

    • sala bizzle:

im not helpin no one one of your animal nutts called me an idoit so i returned the favor all im sayin give the guy a break we all made mistake the only difference is his was made public……but answer me this was it right for donte stallworth to spend under a month in jail for running over some poor old man while driving drunk and if so..wouldn’t it be better to protest that then a couple of dogs…
i mean its bad to do that towards animals but you live and you learn..now if he ever get caught in another situation like this then i’ll be right there with ya’ll protesting but untill that time comes jus give him a chance

      • Some time ago our mission grew to include removing all violent felons from the NFL, it may grow to include all sports eventually if we continue to receive more support.

As such we do currently support the removal of Donte Stallworth from the NFL permanently and many other people including Roger Goodell who has fostered an environment that supports violent felons.

In fact at this point Goodell seems to be a bigger part of the problem than either Donte or Michael Vick.

        • Rich:

The fact that you write this:
“Roger Goodell who has fostered an environment that supports violent felons.”

Shows how out of touch you extremists are. But for me and the rest of “well adjusted” America it actually helps because given the platform you will shows yourselves for the ignorant, narcissitic, lost, radicals you are.

let me ask you, thousands of felons are relased every day in this country and they all go back to work, if you are so gung ho why don’t you boycott every company in America? because I can guarantee you that probably 90% of the companies in America have an ex-felon somwhere on the payroll

      • Ga dog_lover:

Too bad Stallworth didn’t run over you. I like Stallworth. i think he should be playing and not vick

    • Just because you give money to a charity doesn’t mean that you are good either. The money that goes to charities comes from fans. If fans hold back their money from the NFL and donate part of it to charity then the world would probably be even better, considering how much overhead the NFL spends on salaries for people like Michael Vick.

  • penelope K.:

I dispise Micjael Vick a d will boycott all eagle games and their advertisers until this sub=human leaves. He should do well with Coach Reid who has 2 boys who are also felons….What a wonderful family of rejects. do not publish website plz[eidt url removed from signature per request name modified to first and last initial just in case]

    • Rich:

penelope, chances are you were not supporting the eagles anyway. as for the crack on AR’s kids, that just shows you for the mixed up low life you are. I hope drug addiction comes into your life and takes control of someone you love and are close to. People like you make me sick. I am going to look up the Eagles advertisers myself and go out of my way to give them my money. You have just been cancelled out Penelope Housewife, back to your soap operas.

      • Jim O:

        Hey Rich,

AR is just trying to make up for the fact that he failed as a father. Tony Dungy as well. They are total scumbags. McNabb and Vick are both great athletes, but they will never win the big games becuase they don’t have the football IQ. Only in Philadelpia would they sign a dog murderer in order to try and win football games.

      • Rich: I am anything but a housewife although that is indeed an option for women. I am a professional College graduate and a retired Police Sergeant in Phila. Working with mostly males, I grew to love the game of football and since I live In Phila, I have a vested interest in this city.
Perhaps you need to save your sexist comments to someone who will opine with you……………..Cheers

        • You got that right. I live in Philadelphia and is tbere any wonder why we went fro thew third largest to the sixth largest city last time I checked. Michael Vick,,,,The last straw…I am outta here asap
