Michael Vick’s Statement of Facts – Refresher

Its been a while since we covered this last, but for some of you that are new to the debate, or have forgotten some of the details, or just need a refresher here’s a link to the actual document that Michael Vick agreed to as facts in his plea agreement.

http://news.findlaw.com/wp/docs/sports/usvick82407sof.html

As he did plea, much of the witness testimony provided in the indictment was not used in a trial. That witness testimony was extremely negative and in many ways much uglier than the perfected statements that Michael Vick provided in the Statement of Facts.

Even with that legal wrangling, we feel that the Statement of Facts provided by Michael Vick are enough on their own to merit his permanent suspension from the NFL under the CBA.

  • Here are some Vick jokes that I’ve been writing one a day on my twitter.

What’s the difference between Chicago and pitbulls? Michael Vick’s never beaten Chicago.

What’s the difference between Michael Vick and Hurricane Katrina? Hurricane Katrina drowned dogs accidentally.

What do the Atlanta Falcons and pitbulls have in common? Michael Vick left both of them hanging.

Michael Vick will do great in the Eagles’ wild cat offense, coming fresh off his tortured dog offense.

Who let the dogs out? Not Michael Vick, he killed them instead.

With Michael Vick on the Eagles they will no longer look dogged on offense. Because Vick will kill all the doggeds.

What do a bad QB and Vick’s pitbulls’ teeth have in common? They both got pulled after a loss.

At Michael Vick’s kennel, what did the drowned pitbull say to the hanged pitbull? This place is ruff.

What’s black and white and red all over? One of Michael Vick’s black and white pitbulls after a fight.

What are Michael Vick’s favorite kind of shoes? Snuff puppies

Why does Michael Vick the lumberjack love to cut dogwood trees? He hates its bark.

What’s the difference between Michael Vick and a mountain lion? The mountain lion only kills for food.

What does Michael Vick call 500 dead pitbulls buried in his backyard? A good start!

Old Sayings by Michael Vick: You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but you can pull out all its teeth and torture it.

How many Michael Vick’s does it take to screw a pitbull into a light bulb socket? One.

Why did the dog cross the road? Because Michael Vick was pulling him by a chain tied to a pickup’s axle.

  • Football Bob:

Why no articles on Vick’s getting cheered when entering the game?

    From SI.com:

Eagles coach Andy Reid didn’t wait long to use Vick. The three-time Pro Bowl quarterback jogged onto the field for the second play from scrimmage and got a hearty welcome from the notoriously tough Philly fans.

”It was awesome. When I was running out onto the field I was listening to see what the reaction was going to be,” Vick said. ”I was very pleased. I really didn’t expect that reaction, but I was very thankful.”

A report on protests outside said 3 protesters had a large sign against the signing.

I think it’s time to move on, and put this much effort into advocating against animal cruelty. Vick is not going anywhere. If we plays well, he will be paid handsomely as a Free Agent, if not he will be let go. End of story, move on.

    • This is not a site to promote Michael Vick. If people want to cheer Michael Vick that is their business. If we want to have him removed from the NFL, well that IS our business.

      :)

We’re not here to compromise. We’re not here to reach a consensus. If you are looking for that type of site, I suggest you look elsewhere or start your own.

We are here to continue to work towards the day when violent felons like Michael Vick are not allowed into the NFL, where hundreds of fans can cheer the entrance of a psychopath.

Thousands cheered Hitler in stadiums too, but that didn’t make it a good thing. (Rich has been hoping I’d make another Michael Vick / Hitler analogy. With Michael Vick and Hitler the analogies are easy to make because they are all too similar)

  • tom arnold:

a day after vick’s first appearance in a game and no post? Yet you post all those meaningless crap? Man whoever is running this site is trying to take down vick single handedly. Come on man.

    • Yes we do want to see Michael Vick and other felons removed from the NFL. We are not operating this site to provide positive spin for Michael Vick whether it is real or fake.

Interesting how the Eagles brought him into a game that would not be nationally televised isn’t it. Not even covered throughout most of the east coast.

Therefore, there is no way for people to see how many protesters were at the game and how many supporters were there, nor how many empty seats.

      • Rich:

You are off the mark on this one. they did not plan ahead to put him in a game that was not naional. it was the first game he was allowed to play in, next week he will be in again. He will then sit again until he is fully reinstated during the regular season at which time he will be on the field national game or not.
As for the protesters there were three women and one man with dogs by the stadium, pro-vick protesting by a guy who is a walking joke in J Whyatt Modesire, (I think there were seven people with him). Away from the stadium there were other vick protesters who made a deal to stay away from the stadium but protested in the vicinity. Not sure what that was about, maybe best for all incolved, a woman there said she would be there every game he is an eagle, (let’s see where she is in Jnauary), other than that, a standing ovation for Vick and not much else.

        • Local SPCA groups staged events for yesterday that were not intended to be anti-vick but were intended to be supportive of dog rescue efforts and anti-dogfighting.

They did not want to heap attention (even negative attention) on Michael Vick.

      • tom arnold:

They brought him in because that was the first game he was available. Trying to create controversy because the game wasn’t nationally televised might be your stupidest arguement yet. But they showed highlights on ESPN and described the atmosphere there. And ESPN is the first to start a controversy so don’t say they lied about anything. There were only 3 protesters if any. When Vick stepped on the field it was a standing ovation. Yes you could see empty seats but it is preseason. The attendence was at 69,144. I don’t know if you boycott ESPN but there were many ways to see the atmosphere for vick also you could have a read an article.

        • so what you guys are saying it was not only safe to bring Vick onto the field during the preseason since he is 2 years rusty and has relatively little experience with the Eagles, but from a PR perspective it was safe for Vick too because the venue, crowd, and Vick himself weren’t being broadcast around the country in case things went poorly.

They were hedging their football and PR bets.

Don’t get me wrong, if I were supporting a guy that liked to torture dogs and trying to fix his national celebrity, I wouldn’t start him off in a high profile venue/event either.

From a PR perspective, they can now claim a victory, they can claim that Vick was vetted in the NFL from a PR perspective, and they might even sip their own koolaid and believe that the worst is over.

I hope they drink a lot of that koolaid! It will make things easier to get violent felons out of the NFL, if they underestimate or misinterpret what is going on.

          • tom arnold:

you seem to be lost in your own madness. your the only one in the world saying this is an issue and since you have no voice in the nfl you will be posting on this website till you die. Have fun.

          • Rich:

Stick to the facts, these silly little posts on the Eagles hedging their bets make you look desperate. Well, because in this instance, you are.

Mike Vick played on the second snap of the first game he was avaialble to play in and received a standing ovation upon running on the field. He will play next week in New York in what will be televised in two of the largest markets on the east coast and will play in all games both regional and national that he is available to play in.

          • lol looks kind of desperate of you guys trying to defend Michael Vick on this website if you ask me. :)

You are welcome to try, but your efforts don’t seem to be helping.

          • Rich:

Is this your new act the bait and switch? if you write something stand behind it or admit you were grabbing at straws.
And it was a PRESEASON game, they never sell out.
your hand is weak time to fold, if you were a pit bull you would be put down.

        • Kim:

          A few empty seats?
Maybe you’re the one who should read a few more articles.

Like this one that says “…quarterback got a standing ovation in a half-empty stadium.”

          http://www.winnipegsun.com/sports/football/2009/08/28/10645496-sun.html

Or maybe you’d like to see those empty seats for yourself?
          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5vUtK_h2j0

The panoramic view hardly looks impressive as there are far more empty seats than there are people standing and clapping. Even in the close-up only half the people are clapping.

Gee, I wonder who wasn’t there to fill all those empty seats???

          • did a little checking and that was broadcast on the Eagles local stations/network. Of course the camera guys worked for the that network, controlled by the Eagles so maximizing a half empty stadium and the sound to make it seem as if Vick was heavily supported is not terribly difficult for any camera person with 5 minutes of experience or any audio engineer with 10. :)

Go Eagles! you just paid $1.6 million for a very expensive evil, twisted, psychopathic serial loser. :)

          • tom arnold:

it is a PRESEASON game. Anyone who knows football is aware that not all preseason games are soldout. Also the attendence was 69,144. With the seating capacity of 68,532, the game was a sell out. Gee, I wonder why your so dumb???

          • Rich:

Number 23 of the midwestern housewives rebellion accounted for. That neither you nor DL knows the difference between a preseason game and a regular season game is no surprise.
Here is a tidbit, preseason games never sell out and are usually about 50% capacity, this is the same for every team in the league.
Regular season and playoffs have sold out in Philly since 1997.

            Nice try, back to baking.

          • Hello! No shit its a preseason game. Didn’t I mention already that the Eagles and Michael Vick didn’t achieve that much BECAUSE its a preseason game, not telecast nationally, yada yada yada

The NFL and Eagles hedged their bets.

As to ESPN there is more money in Michael Vick staying in the NFL long term for ESPN than for Michael Vick leaving the NFL never to play football again.

they may push controversy from time to time like their schismgate crap with the Vikings, but they only push controversy under the tent of their fan boy base in the NFL.

          • tom arnold:

never said that anything was achieved in a preseason game just like to say that you and this website have achieved as much as that preseason game. Please continue to fail it keeps getting funny.

    • Barbalicious:

      Ever hear of work?

  • Kim:

Okay Tom, explain to me how the stadium was over capacity and there were still so many empty seats? Unless of course they were all packed on the opposing side.

Besides, I never said the stadium should be full – just pointing out that being cheered by a few fans does not mean that everyone is happy to see him.

Seriously though, don’t you and Rich have anything better to do than camp out here? At least we’re trying to do something we believe in. If you love Vick so much why aren’t you showing your support on his website?

    • Rich:

      Kim,
What is your position on the Splenda level in Duncan Hines brownies?

    • tom arnold:

“At least we’re trying to do something we believe in”
i feel sorry for your family for having a relative who is a lunatic. Have fun in the crazy house Kim.

    • Ga dog_lover:

Blacks made this a civil rights issue. the NAACP showed up at the stadium to make it look like Mike had more support. Dog-killing SCUM and the NAACP defends them? These people better NEVER ask me for a thing in this life. They are nothing but self-centered SCUM.

      • tom arnold:

Actually the NCAAP never manifested at the stadium. Blacks turning this into a civil rights issue? You seem to do alot of stereotyping of african americans and the people of philadelphia. Ga dog lover i think you have more problems than that of michael vick.

  • Ga dog_lover:

Why do you think they put him in a THUG city? The stadium was filled with thugs and thug lovers in Killadelphia.

    • tom arnold:

so all 69,144 people who attended the eagles game are “thugs”? Your lack of knowledge is evident. With your logic every person in philadelphia is going to kill dogs. You could probably challenge Vick for the stupidest person in America title.Congrats.

    • Rich:

Did you write that from your out house in georgia, or did you guys get the running water going, what is next a ceeeement pond?

  • Ga dog_lover:

I would say many of them would or support the thought. Vick fans are SCUM.

    • tom arnold:

you are a sick person. may god have mercy on your soul.

      • Barbalicious:

I have one he will like even more! I HATE vick fans.

        • Rich:

You ladies realize no one is reading your links right?
I am guessing they are links to recipes anyway.

          • Kim:

Not surprised! Articles usually have lots of big words and your wives/girlfriends are probably tired of interpreting them for you.

Of course that’s assuming you could actually find someone who would put up with your chauvinistic attitudes.

          • Rich:

99% of news articles are written at a fourth grade level, so much for the “big words” angle. [edit - sexist comment, This is your first warning. We don't tolerate sexist statements anymore than we tolerate racist statements. Make another and you will be bounced from the site]
What is on your angenda today? some coffee with your significant other and swapping recipes and spit while listening to the Indigo Girls?

  • Ga dog_lover:

    Do you think I care?
