My husband is a big Eagles fan so when there is a game on our house is a house divided. Last week he got the last laugh when the birds won but I got the last laugh yesterday. I hope they lose every game as long as Michael Vick is a member of that team. I don't believe in curses either but like what was said earlier, what goes around, comes around. That man had been doing dogfighting since his teen years so just how sorry do people really think he is? He is only sorry because he got caught, otherwise he would still be doing it. Those poor dogs never got a 2nd chance so why should he. I would like to do to him what he did to those poor dogs. He doesn't deserve to be in the NFL. I liked it last week when every time Vick came on the field the Carolina fans booed him, not the Eagles so much, just him. Our own fans don't even do that. They cheer him on. He may not have a direct effect on my life or yours (one could say the same thing about almost any type of criminal) but I believe that the under-punishment of people who have committed animal abuse sends the message that some lives have little or no value. I'm not singling out Vick, I have engaged in numerous protests in cases where people who have abused dogs have been treated too leniently by the criminal justice system. I do so in hopes that the next time an animal abuser goes into the same jurisdiction's court, the judges and lawyers will have learned that their actions don't go unnoticed. I feel it's vital to keep letting the Eagles know that what the team did by signing him is not alright with all of their fan base. It may not get rid of Vick but perhaps the next time Goodell is confronted with a similar choice, he will think twice. He was treated bad admist the entire Vick situation plus he has a legit shot of playing in Carolina. And despite anything negative that Garcia brings he knows the system and no other QB available could contribute this weekend like Garcia can. It really doesn't send a message about Vick people didn't already know. I mean he just came back to practice this week after about a week off. The man is mainly brought in to run a wildcat formation that will attempt to fix the burdens the eagles have on goal line situations.
