Success! The Michael Vick Project Sacked

Michael Vick Project Sacked The Michael Vick Project has been sacked.  Michael Vick will not do a second season.  Reportedly, Michael Vick pulled the plug on his own project to reform himself (on camera).

I think most of the world and definitely all of the BET viewing public will agree that this is a very positive development.

There was nothing redeeming about the show, nothing worth watching, no moral message, and very little entertainment.  Michael Vick was given tv time every week to get up on a soap box and talk about how he was a better person, had changed his ways and was worthy of the umpteenth chance he had received to start over, despite the fact that most ex-felons never get such an opportunity.

Over the course of the first season, BET allowed Vick to soapbox before kids and teenagers, demonstrate his poor public speaking skills, walk us through his old home and talk about how he used to kill dogs for fun.  Yes, it was a terrible tv show and Michael Vick did what Michael Vick always does.

He took advantage of his audience, he took advantage of anyone that was in range of his cameras like his old coach from the boys and girls club and the current kids there.  Michael Vick even managed to take advantage of BET who got a bad tv show, almost no sponsors (kudos to our readers), and a lot of negative publicity which seemed to benefit Michael Vick and harm BET.

In short, Michael Vick used BET and is now sacking his TV show since he doesn’t need it any more, especially since having cameras around when your old dog fighting buddies are getting shot at your birthday party probably doesn’t help your public image and makes it difficult for your defense attorney to keep you out of jail when your candid comments are right there on disc.

In other news, Michael Vick reportedly can throw the ball a long way, can’t get the ball to the right targets and hasn’t gotten his speed back.  Maybe this will be the last year for Michael Vick in the NFL, time to put up or go away.  But then again, if he drops out of the NFL, I’m sure he’ll be knocking at the door of reality TV again, maybe to give the Joes vs the Pros another chance to humiliate him.
